0 Next Team Contest? It is finally time for a new team contest.
Use the poll above to decide what type of contest you want to have. Multiple votes allowed. - Trivia and Scavenger Hunt. Google will not be helpful. You will have to use your head.
- Relay Race: One team member competes at a time. When the first one finish the second starts and so on. First team to have all team members finish wins. Larger teams are at a disadvantage.
- Tag Team: Each team divides into pairs and competes for scores. The pairs average out their scores. Low score is eliminated. Last team standing wins.
- Clash of the Titans: After each round the winning team loses a player. The first team to lose all players wins.
- Tournament: A series of tournaments.
- Third Place. Compete for the most 3rd place scores. 1st, 2nd and 4th place are worth nothing.
- Capture the Flag II: Just like last time, each team picks 10 games. After one week you get a point for each first place score you have in those games. Most points wins.
- Marathon II: Just like last time, first team to beat all selected games/scores wins.
- Elimination II: Just like last time, each team picks a new player each day. The losing player is eliminated. Last team standing wins.
- Dodgeball II: Just like last time, pick a game and throw it at somebody. If they beat your score, you are out. If not they are out. Last team standing wins.
Also post when you would prefer the contest to start and how intense you would want it to be. Do you want to have to devote a couple hours every day for a week. Several hours for just one day. A few minutes every day. Etc.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? well to be honest, im a pretty busy guy and most of my team is too. we generally dont have time to devote several hours a day to competitions. a couple hours a week is more resonable. also i knoticed that some of the older competitions consisted of rpg's, maybe we could put the inclusion of them to a vote? because i know thats out of the question for me.
@kong 10. "f they beat your score they are out. If not they are out."

0 Re: Next Team Contest? I would say a couple hours a week would be good because a couple hours a day makes it tough on me with the odd work schedule I run.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? Kong, I have never played a Dodgeball tourney, but I assume that this was just a typo. The person whose score is beaten is eliminated right?
I like the sounds of Tag Team, Clash of the Titans, Tournament, and Elimination.
I am on here fairly often these days, but a couple of hours a day might be tough for some people on the team. | My Signature

Then when you are done you throw the game at another person on another team and if they beat your score then you are out. If they fail to beat your score then they are out.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? yeah, any tournament that requires a lot of devoted time is probably out of the question for me... i'm getting ready for 2 ap tests coming up pretty soon, along with end-of-the-year school stuff... (ahh!). that aside, relay race, clash of the titans, tournament, capture the flag, and dodgeball sound really fun. | My Signature | | <br />OK. I'm not changing my sig anymore!

When you say a couple hours a week do you want those hours to all be in one day or evenly spread through out the week?

0 Re: Next Team Contest? I was saying that a couple of hours each day might be too much, (not for me if it all in a week), but some people have a harder time with that. I guess it depends on which contest gets the most votes right? I can see some of them not taking as long as others and vice versa. However, not having played any of the contests before, they all sound pretty cool.

I am usually good for a few hours of gaming per week. Occasionally, I can dedicate multiple hours in a day, but it is very, very rare. | My Signature | | Proud member of the GRUMPY OLD MEN!

0 Re: Next Team Contest? Trivia/scavenger hunt. I agree with everyone else about a few hours a week. Most people just don't have time to blow on this kind of thing.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? "Tournament" will be a series of single elimination tournaments using the regular tournament system that is under the game menu.
I voted Clash of the Titans. The better your team does the harder it will be to keep winning.

@Everyone: Please be aware that Clash of the Titans will ask each member of your team to submit a score every day. It doesn't have to be a good score, just a score. If someone on your team doesn't submit a score during that round it could potentially greatly reduce your team's average score for that round.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? @Tenser. I thought we were going to average Tag Team not Titans. I was thinking Titans would be the single highest score wins the round for the entire team.
Since Tournament is winning I will explain it more.
This is assuming 4 teams of 7. If any of the teams don't have 7 members then we will have to adjust the rules.
The mods will pick 8 different games.
There will be 7, 4-man tournaments and one final 8 man tournament.
Each team will pick a player to play in the first 7 tournaments.
Each person can enter only one.
The first 7 tournaments will run simultaneously.
The winner of each of the first 7 tournaments will be added to the final tournament.
During the first 7 tournaments there will be some kind of bonus competition. The winner of that bonus competition will get a free entry into the final tournament to be the 8th man.
The winner of the final tournament wins the entire contest for his team.

0 Re: Next Team Contest? @Kong: I believe we originally decided tag team was going to be total score. If you don't average the scores for Titans you end up benefitting the losing teams.
