Nintendo Virtual Boy added today

We all know how much of a failure the Virtual Boy was and no one is dying to play some VB games for the fun factor but it is interesting to have a chance to see it in action. Several of the games just had no reason to be in 3D and are actually still 2D (example Panic Bomber (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/10657/)).

To get you started, here are a few of the Virtual Boy gems that did their best to take advantage of the tech.

I think Mario Clash and V-Tetris actually did a decent job of upgrading to 3D and bringing something new and interesting to the table.

Notice there are 2 d-pads. You will need that extra one in some games.

Looks like you definatly need a controller for these games. No clue how you are supposed to have 2 d-pads on a keyboard.

I had one of these, thought it was the coolest thing for 2-3 days. I could never get confortable playing it.

There were less than 20 games for it, and it died in less than a year. Oh, and it gave peope headaches.

i don't mean to use foul language but how could virtual boy be so suckish back in the days where did the nintendo people do wrong? was it because there lack of 3d graphics?..... thats my main reason it lived for 1 year for america and 1995 only for japan. second reason is people were not interested because the way it looked.

It had lackluster games, had only 1 color, and since it was on a stand, you would have to lean into it to see the games. Oh, and its also the only nintendo system so far that didn't have a zelda game on it.

I remember this thing. My buddy had it when it came out. It really sucks. I wonder how it'll handle on a keyboard.

Yay! I finally get to see what it was all about... every time I went to the store to test it the thing was broken... which was a very obvious hint that it sucked, but I have always wanted to try it :D

I found Mode C in V Tetris (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/10662/) fun and I liked Mario Clash (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/10654/). You have to use the second D-Pad once you get to the 3rd level. It took me a while to figure that out. The rest aren't worth playing IMO.
