Fake beyond fake, any web layout/designer knows a very basic rule to avoid pushing any logos to the edges of the border. Nice try 4 chan fools.

More like "Duke Nukem Taking Forever".

There will be a Duke Nukem game in the near future, I'm sure of it. It would be silly to think the buzz isn't noticed by the game industry. They know we want a new game and it would sell well. I just hope it stays true to what made it good. If they try to compete with these other FPS games they'll make a piece of crap.

I'd put myself in suspended reality just to find out how this game turns out.

I remember Duke Nukem games being 3rd person shooters, not 1st person.

There is no comparison between the classic lizard/ hog/ /gorilla/ alien killing action of those games and the new garbage. {in my opinion}

Yeah, they should make a new Duke Nukem game, and show all these knock - off upstarts who's boss!

I agree, no shooters are better than Duke Nukem.

As someone who's played tons of fps across all the platforms I disagree. Duke Nukem is awesome and it has it's own personality but besides that it really isn't anything special. Shadowrun for 360 has more innovation and it doesn't even have a single player mode. Nostalgia is clouding your judgment on this one, sorry.

Personally I thought Goldeneye and Halo were better games.
But they're probubly announcing a new engine they're using.

You forgot to say 'in my opinion'.
The way you say this it sounds like you're trying to use the fact you played 'tons of FPS' as some sort of credential; Duke Nukem is a cult thing, just like Captain Falcon, Chuck Norris, Squall, Pucca ... you get the idea.

I'll bet that this upstart rogue 'Shadowrun' is very dark and serious and lacks the comedic kills and sexist one - liners that make Duke the King.
Hell, I'll even go so far as to bet that game doesn't even have the cool imaginary weapons like the radioactive gas grenade launcher.
Pfft.

You forgot to say 'in my opinion'.My bad I figured that was implied.

The way you say this it sounds like you're trying to use the fact you played 'tons of FPS' as some sort of credential; Duke Nukem is a cult thing, just like Captain Falcon, Chuck Norris, Squall, Pucca ... you get the idea.I'm not trying to state it as fact but I do think my experience with FPS gives my statement some credibility. The fact that you referred to new FPS stuff as garbage shows you have a nostalgic bias about this. Take away the personality from Duke and the game is nothing special. Many games have fantastical weapons, before and after Duke Nukem did. Without the humor and sexism the game is pretty much a doom clone(Duke 3d came out 3 years after DOOM). Having a cult following doesn't mean anything. People worship Cpt Falcon and he wasn't even the best racer in F-Zero, what does that tell you?

Pfft.Shadowrun has a very wry humor that is mainly heard when the player characters speak. Most players probably miss it though because the gameplay is so intense and fast paced.

The weapons themselves are pretty standard, besides the Katana, but the magic and technology are far from the norm. You can cast a summoned creature to protect/fight, cast a healing tree(sounds stupid but it's pretty cool), use enhanced vision to see through walls and ceilings, use wired reflexes to block bullets with the katana or give yourself a speed boost, to name a few of the better ones. It's not one of those overhyped FPSs that people swear by, it's the real deal.

magic
.... is this a first person shooter or a role playing game?
Duke Nukem is strictly FPS, so right there I say there can be no comparison.
Besides, I did say that it's a cult thing.

It tells me that people know how to choose a vehicle for a racing game; unless the track has a lot of sharp turns with short straight runs, you want to have about 50/ 50 acceleration and top speed.
If it does {have a lot of sharp turns} , then you want more acceleration.
Racers know what I'm talking about.
enhanced vision to see through walls and ceilings,
Like in Perfect Dark for N64.

Anyhow, I'm sorry if I dumped on your new fave game and maybe you're right in saying that DM and I are being nostalgic, but isn't that what this site is about?
Besides, even if I wanted to I can't afford to buy any of the new systems and so will probably never know anything of them except what other people say, and what they say is that the graphics are better - so I can only take their word for it.

Besides, I did say that it's a cult thing.Oh but it is a FPS all the way. The magic and tech are used alongside conventional gun fighting.

Racers know what I'm talking about.Yeah sure. I guess picking the average car is better than the one with more top speed and better handling. Samurai Goroh ftw, Cpt Falcon ftl(sorry SJB).

Like in Perfect Dark for N64.Exactly. I didn't say it was brand new, just not the norm. Perfect Dark is an awesome game and borrowing from it is nothing to be ashamed of.

When I said you're being nostalgic I meant you're letting your passion cloud your judgment for anything that comes after. I know it sounds negative but my intention was to show you what you're doing, not make fun of you for it.
It's unfair to say that no other game can compare when you haven't played or even seen most of them, right?

In closing, Duke Nukem is awesome. I don't think it's the best FPS ever but it is great. Also here's a video to show you what SR looks like. Graphics are not a priority, it's all about gameplay-
YouTube - shadow run
It's not the best gameplay video but I think it captures the tone and intensity of the game.

Nostalgia may be clouding my judgment, but I prefer personality over graphics, every single time. I also don't care in the least about innovation, what I want is something fun, something I can play alone, not something where I have to play with other people. I also just want to shoot, not have to use gravity guns or time control whatever, and I don't want to be a generic space marine, shooting generic aliens who are infesting a generic space-station orbiting a generic non-earth version of earth.

-edit-
And yes, I've played plenty of these newer FPS games, before you ask.

I prefer personality over graphicsYeah me too, that's why I like SR. It's one of the rare examples of a company being more concerned with gameplay instead of flashy graphics or gimmicky features(like Duke Nukems personality?). If it wasn't buried by the hype for all the other boring FPSs it would be one of the most popular 360/vista games, it's bad luck and bad timing.
It has no real single player so you wouldn't like that though. If you could get past that part of it I'd be willing to bet you'd fall in love with the game.

Sorry to rant but you seemed to imply that my point of view is much like most noobs online.

I'm sorry I gave that impression, but it is clear that you have played the pre-Halo FPS games that paved the way and set the stage for modern FPS games.
Shadowrun does look like an interesting game, it is a shame that mere timing can kill a game.
