I know that this is a virus that has been attacking my computer.

I am unable to get it off. I am using a older tower instead of the one that I was using before.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this thing from a computer. Here is the difficult part. It does not read as a virus under the antivirus checker and it will not allow me to open any kind of program to get rid of Malware. I have tried it keeps saying that the program is infected even tho it is not. This is a side effect of the virus.

I am at a loss of what to do here anyone that can help me get my computer back I would appreciate it.

I have also tried to rename the malware files as well to try and bypass the virus but it did not work.

Thanks.

Even with an anti virus program windows will never allow you to have a safe computer. EVER.
Just kick windows, and learn to live with it. At least dual boot if there is some stuff you must have. WINDOWS IS AWFUL NOT BASED ON SOME PREFERENCE I HAVE BUT BECAUSE IT'S A TERRIBLE VIRUS PLAGUED SECURITY LOOP HOLE OPERATING SYSTEM THAT IS ONLY POPULAR DUE TO LOBBYIST AND LAWYERS.

But most of us aren't super-programmers with super-computer knowledge, and therefore cannot run Linux properly.

Implying you need super computer knowledge to run linux.

I did a test once, gave a girl friend an ubuntu CD, asked her to install it on my laptop and go check her email accounts.

Took her less then 40 minutes. There is basically nothing in the front end thats uber nerd about linux anymore. It's a 4 click install, and comes with EVERYTHING already. All the software is in one place.

Once the hardware venders start supporting it (which more and more have been) it will kill microsoft. A linux machine runs 9000 times better then a windows machine hands down anytime. Windows 7 is basically trying to be linux. Microsoft has stole code from linux GNU community before FYI.

Get an old computer thats lying around and try out a distro. I suggest Ubuntu for the new comer.

I'd be able to run Linux either way.
I just choose not to, because I like Vista enough to not see reason to change. If I had a second computer, I'd install Linux though.
