Picked up some games.

So, I went to game stop just to look and wound up with 3 games, 2 for wii 1 for GCN...

I got:

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - GCN

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Wii

Castle of Shikigami III - Wii (Cassidy and Bagel should like this just like 1945k III)

I'm always looking for a fun shooter, but can never find one, found one today for 10 bucks NEW. I'm excited to pop it in. ^_^

Finding FE GCN/Wii games around here is like finding the holy grail, I looked everywhere to no avail.. and I find BOTH when I didn't want to spend moniez. :(

Anyways I'm really excited especially for that shooter. ^_^

On the other hand, the ending to #4 has to be one of the most epic endings ever in video game history.

I disagree. Still, if you think that, check out Titania in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. She's an absolute beast in battle. If someone tells you she's only good for a wall, they're crazy.

Jagan is only good at the beginning, properly training someone like Chiki/Marth is more worthwhile than a hasbeen.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn can so BRUTAL at times on normal difficulty.
Play on the easiest setting first, it jumps dramatically between difficulties.

Especially since on normal, you have to do most missions in a given time and it's a pain.

I haven't played it on hard, but you have to be a god at strategy games to beat it.

I picked up some games.
Then I saw the price tags, and put them back down again.

Thankfully there were some reasonably priced games there as well.
Actually, one looked so good by the box that I was certain it would be a great game:
Eternal Poison on PS2, and it looked like a gothic RPG with awesome artwork.
Well, the artwork was awesome all right, but the gameplay amounted to little more than glorified Chess.
As if that wasn't bad enough the load time between moves was unacceptable for a PS2 game, and it makes me wonder if it's a PS1 port.

Kingdom Hearts is a great game. I knew somebody who hated the game and I was about half-tempted to shoot this guy out of a cannon for trashing it.

It has a suprisingly good plot for a Disney story, and good gameplay to boot.

I'd recommend it, although it makes every Final Fantasy Character godly in power.
Even Yuffie does serious damage, Yuffie. But, she trips in battle all the time.

Sephiroth is easily the hardest, but the Squall and Cloud match is tough, Cloud is crazy
fast, and Squall dishes out the most damage of any Final Fantasy Character, except he
never really tries to beat Sora, he walks after Sora, but his attacks do over half the life bar!
And when you run to heal yourself, he kills you with a flame shot, so annoyingly overpowered.

The only wimpy final fantasy characters are Setzer (Terrible isn't it?), Tidus and Seifer.

But they're mostly optional except Sephiroth who is one of the hardest bosses ever.

Aside from the overpowered characters, Kingdom Hearts is an epic game to play,
I'd recommend it to any friend of mine.

I don't recall a character named Squall appearing in game, but I remember a Leon.
Seriously, why did they rename him for Kingdom Hearts?

He regrets failing to save his home Hollow Bastion, so he changed his name.
Thank god he isn't too emo about it like Cloud is.

But dear lord Leon is fustrating to fight because he dishes out serious damage, it does over
75% your life bar, not even Sepheroth comes that close. He then shoots fire at you when you
run away, killing you. Then when you dish out enough damage he makes his sword huge doing
even more damage on Sora.

It's fun to play as Squall but not fight him! He's so overpowered! :at-wits-end:

Kingdom Hearts games are fine, just overrated. And the fan-girl/fan-boy crowd is the most annoying of anything.

Actually, Kingdom Hearts was for my daughter for her birthday, but I've been peeking in from time to time to see what the game is like, and it looks pretty good.
I was pleasantly surprised when she came to me and asked who Tron was, and if he was a Disney character.
I never would have expected to see that in the game, but now I understand how comprehensive it is.
It's a virtual Disney character museum.

That being said, I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of Donald Duck or Goofy, and so I'm maybe not as impressed as I could have been but I understand the Corporate big wigs probably wanted it to perpetuate the characters.

Sorry if you really like them; the only things they are in I like are the early 1930's cartooons, and Goofy's 'how to' cartoons.
And the Mr. Walker/ Mr. Wheeler driving cartoons, and the

Picked up Megaman Zero Collection. It's already looking better than the GBA, it actually has the blood from the Japanese version. I will be so happy if they left Ciel's song in! :D

I bought Shikigami III the other day. I was very surprised to see it new in the store.
Nagino Ise is my favorite player so far. With her and insane grazing I can knock down 400 million by the end of the second stage.
Also, her copilot is a rabbit! How is that not awesome!

Resident Evil 4 is great fun, but it takes a bit of adjustment. Just experiment on the best way to take out a group through kicking.

The grazing aspect is just superb. Other games (Radiant Silvergun, Touhou, etc) just use it for points directly. In this one you can get up to a x8 score multiplier as well as a weapon powerup for shooting enemies and getting the coins by being as close to bullets as possible. I love it.

I never use my bomb so I laughed when I got a game over and the game gave me the rank of "BOMB KEEPER".
