In modding Amiga games, I ran across this fun little game, Valhalla:
Retro Uprising - Arcade - Valhalla And The Lord Of Action (http://retrouprising.com/game-menu/game/10532/)
This is only a demo version, and I haven't gotten very far (can you put the old man to sleep? :victory:) but it reminded me how much I love these kind of logic/puzzle games.
There are many PC games like this: Monkey Island, Police Quest and Fate of Atlantis to name a few, but I can't think of any good games like this for consoles.
Can anyone recommend a few games that involve logic/puzzle solving similar to the game above here at RU? :talktohand: I can't think of any at the moment.
Thanks!
Tails

Thanks, Tails. I love these kind of games as well, but they are not exactly what I'm talking about. I should've been more clear in my description.
I am looking for games that fall more in the Puzzle Adventure or Graphic Adventure category.
I'm thinking of games like Myst or many of the PC offerings from Sierra or LucasArts. All of these games are PC based. I was looking for similar games that are console based.

Yeah Tanc, you're talking about Adventure Games. Some other great Amiga games include Deju Vu 1 & 2, Shadowgate (also on NES/GB), and King's Quest. Space Quest is also great and definitely worth playing.

Please keep the recommendations coming. I guess Adventure games is the appropriate term.
@WB - Do you know if the Amiga games have save states? I'm pretty sure no, but thought I'd ask.

Have you tried Dr. Mario? Or Bejeweled?
Those are great puzzle games, along with Tetris.

Good recommendation Enemy Ace. Nightshade is one of the best games for NES.
Thread title changed.
There will be a whole slew of SCUMMs added this fall.
Some of these are guess and will be slightly off the mark. But several of them should work out.

It's my pleasure help.
I remembered another one in the same style (Adventure, point-and-click), that is Scooby Doo Mystery.

Good recommendation Enemy Ace. Nightshade is one of the best games for NES.
I personally prefer wild action, but is really a good game.

Nice, and it actually saves them? I was thinking that this couldn't be done for some reason.
Nice, and it actually saves them?Yep, as long as you use Save/Load from the menu it will work. If you use the games original internal save it will not. Example in an original copy of Zork you could type save and restore but that would not work in the emulator.

Started Deja Vu last night. Stumbled my way through the controls a few times. Managed to shoot myself between the eyes, once.
Looking forward to playing it.

Nice. Here's the only hint I will give you: "You can talk to the chair all you want, but if it answers..." :)

Oooh, that's interesting. I assume you are talking about the electric chair looking device.
I also found the casino. Even played the slots, but to no avail.
I haven't had the courage to take the car for a spin yet... I'm thinking I need to drive myself to the pharmacy.

I can't tell you, but talking to you about this game makes me want to play this again badly. I haven't gone through Deja Vu in about 20 years. Great game!
