This week on Facebook Files, we’re discussing games you can’t play due to health issues, mental blocks or other things that somehow bother you. Keep in mind these are games you can’t play, not games you don’t like. For example, in Japan, first-person shooters fight an uphill battle as a lot of gamers suffer from motion-sickness. Also, stupid kids on Xbox Live doesn’t count as a reason. Thanks to Tim for coming up with such an interesting topic!

I can't play those 1945 style shooters. I can play them for a few minutes but once bullets/missles start coming from all directions I can't handle it. It's almost like I see the kill shot in slow mo but I can't dodge it. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for me but it must have to do with the amount of activity on screen, my eyes get overwhelmed.

I dated a girl about 12-13 years ago, and her eyes used to crust up from leaking juices if she played too much doom, it only happend when she would wake up in the morning after playing the night before.

Doom, Bioshock, Resident Evil: Simply too jumpy to play most games like this, although I've gotten over it in doom since it's so awesome.

It's not that I can't play... I'm just very bad at fighting games... I can only play them on easy so I can never unlock everything, it takes me a while to get to the final boss (or whatever it is called) and my hands end up hurting a lot.
I can't play shooters because I also suck at them, and get very dizzy after a while. And most platform games get on my nerves, so I can rarely play those.

You're bad at fighters?
You should try Super Smash Bros., it was made for all levels of play, including rookies.

You have great aim but if it's green you should have a doctor check that out for you.

I don't have a n64, gamecube or wii... but the times I've played, even though I lose, it's fun. I have Soul Calibur 3 and 4, I think... and Dead or Alive... 3? and Dissidia. I can play them but it takes me a really long time to kind of get used to the character I'm using and I can never do the cool moves or combos. It's just too much for me... and sometimes I get "good enough" to beat my boyfriend but at the end of the day, he's always way better than me.

With practice I got better at games like those.
I'm not that great at the Capcom vs. series, but I try anyway to have fun.

I can't play MMOs, I don't understand half of what the other players are saying, and I can never figure out what I should do, and when I did play, I ended up wasting 50+ hours a week, so I can't play them simply on the fact that if I do, I don't stop, I like to live in reality, through my own body, not some night-elf-mohawk in the virtual world.

It took me a minute or two to read that. Seems like that would be harder to type out than standard text.
I, like many, can't play games with an absolutely horrible control scheme. I can handle something that just takes getting used to like Castlevania or E.T., but games like Mario 2(fami) just don't do it for me. At all. Game difficulty should not come out of your controller.

Yes, it is too hard to understand, I have to read and re-read it for it to even make sense at all, so it takes about two to three times the average letters to read.
