There's quite a few that have no score Kong.Well it should be something respectable, don't just play the game for a minute and submit just because the previous score was zero but it doesn't matter if you get it just by default (unless this gets out of hand).

they have criteria for score submission. i highly doubt they would accept any score that came from a computer.

Of course they do, original arcade PCBs/systems are preferred, but they do have some provisions for recording from emulators.

I was reading up a bit, and it looks like you would have to physically play on the arcade machine to get th high scores to count in a lot of games unless of course the MAME submissions are okay.

According to the site, MAME scores are counted in a different section, but still recognized. Still, it's too bad that they don't have a cool way of playing online like RU does because that severely limits what games you could score in since you are required to play on the actual arcade machine.

I've 'browsed the scoreboard' there a few times and some of the scores are bordering on insane. Each to his own, but to me there's a big difference between playing for fun and standing at a arcade machine for 15 hours plus. God knows what state there minds are in after these marathons. I sometimes get a fuzzy head after only about an hour!

I've been a member here for about 8 months now and the first thing that struck me when I was a newbie was the obvious 'chilled vibe'. People played for fun despite there being some very able gamers and it hasn't stopped a lot of highscores from improving all the time. This whole 'chilled feel' is the reason I keep coming back and I hope it stays that way.

Reading other video game forums there's a lot of very respected gamers that won't touch twin galaxies with a bargpole. However if you've got the skill set to break a record on there and feel the need then go for it! I wish you well.

Just make sure you read all the rules and check you're playing the correct Romset a difficulty levels etc.

@ Tails, you're right. Their search feature sucks. I tried to do searches on players, on games, etc. and it seems like you have to go through a bunch of steps to get to anything.

I agree about their search feature. I would look for things under the game name, and it wouldn't work half the time, then suddenly it would.

I hear you. I'm thinking about it too, but they're not as easy to use as RU. Plus, I have been so busy/tired lately, I have hardly been playing on RU, so to set-up special equipment to submit things to TG is less realistic. Who knows, maybe I will be motivated soon. We'll see.
