New poll series revolving 8-bit game companies and their old franchises.

The game might have been good, but the game was based on a franchise thats been dead for years and years.

I miss good Silent Hill games. I had been told Shattered Memories was good, but after playing it through I thought it was very OK.

Come on, Konami. You can do it!

I've never seen the show steven. Didn't even know it was a show until a few years ago.

looking at that list, i think the only title that could be cool if remade is bayou billy

QuarthNo.

My vote is to Top Gun.

Of the choices above I'm going to have to pull a Monty Brewster and vote "None of the Above". The only ones I have enjoyed were Blades of Steel and Double Dribble but they do not warrant being remade.

I was thinking the same but top gun was the one I enjoyed the most.

Wasn't Contra a Konami thing too?

Contra has been coming out consistently since its beginning.

Out of the choices, I woudl pick Rush 'n' Attack. Second to that would be Bayou Billy. That could actually make a nice new Sandbox style game set in the outback.

thats what i'm talking about...i'm not sure if i would want the style to switch between fighting, shooting, and driving. fighting alligators rules.

Rush'n Attack was awesome

I agree. It was a fun one. I used to drop a lot of coins in both the arcade version and play the NES one alot too.

I have to go with only because it was the first game I ever beat:clap:

Rush'n Attack aka Green Beret did have a sequel called Missing in Action which actually had a level where after rescuing the POW's you have to protect them during your escape. It was a very frustrating level.

For my money though, Jackal aka Top Gunner needed a sequel. I loved that game.

I really loved their early athletics coin-ops like Track and Field. I remember when I was about five, I used to play Track and Field in the arcade on the pier when I was on holiday and feeding 10p coins into the machine. I could barely reach the buttons but I used to hammer away mercilessly as though my little life depended on it! I remember being so proud when I finally beat the javelin for the first time. I rushed off to tell my mum and forgot to play the next event.

Well, I had been trying for my whole holiday!

Great days :)

Yes it is still implemented, but nothing like the thirty lives in Contra.

Anymore it is just an Easter-egg you get for doing things like interrogating EVA in MGS3, it even has no effect there.

I also miss the difficult Castlevania games.

The Adventures of Bayou Billy was the best , and all the konami games were wicked hard which made them a challenge , as a sandbox game that would definately be great , kinda like red dead , but in the late 70's ,Plus the funky music of bayou billy was great . like waylon jennings meets parliment funkadelic , great game !!
