Nice to see a non franchise game on a system for once. Thinking about it, this company would make a really good spider man game using this engine.

If you got a PS3, they lowered the price, it's 39.99 at best buy and EB Games/Game Stop. Check it out, well worth it.

It looks cool but I think Prototype is a better game. Everything I saw in inFamous could be done in a FPS but instead it's coming from his hands. The other powers look like rip offs of Star Wars.
Btw I'm not sure if it's true for inFamous but I know Prototype uses the same game engine as the incredible hulk game, so yeah spiderman wouldn't be too far from reality.

I got inFamous for my bf for Christmas, he had been undecided between infamous and prototype but had decided he wanted prototype too... He only "complained" once, but it's actually petty good. He normally plays games on easy so he can finish them fast and see the story but this time he played on hard and really enjoyed it, he's even going to play it again to get all the powers and the "bad guy" ending.

I didn't play inFamous so I can't really compare them but I can say that Prototype is worth playing. It's actually got a good story and the gameplay is unmatched. The only issue I had with it was my character was too powerful. I died sometimes but for the most part I was destroying anything that dared to mess with me. That's fun but loses it's appeal after awhile.

We actually saw a review that says when you play prototype you're basically like a god. That's why he wants it... I'm guessing when he gets Prototype I'll be able to see the story (I don't play these types of games myself because I get motion sickness... I get motion sickness just watching my boyfriend play... )

Yeah you might have trouble with Prototype if you have motion sickness. The story is interesting though so it's probably worth watching.
Not to spoil anything but you can "consume" certain people and see their memories. They come in confusing flashes and they aren't in any particular order. By the end you piece it together and it's pretty cool, imo.

I told my boyfriend before he started playing but was to lazy to download it and when he finished the game he downloaded it and it ended up being a new power... one that he got pissed that he didn't download before he started playing...

I haven't posted because I thought this discussion was getting off track and I respect whatever console a person decides to buy...

Personally, I bought a PS3 because I have an xbox (not 360) and couldn't find decent games for it that I liked (here in Mexico we don't have that many video game stores and they don't have much variety)... since my PS2 died on me and I don't have a PS, PS3 was perfect for me since I could play my few PS2 games, a coulpe of PS games I got my hands on... I didn't have dvd player, and I can borrow my boyfriends games (or he can borrow mine)...

Which I think are very good reasons...

Don't get the wrong impression, we just like to mess with each other. I really have no problem with PS3 owners or the reasons they chose to become one.

Don't worry about not playing Fable2, you aren't missing much. It looks beautiful and it's got that weird sense of humor the first was known for but they made it too easy for some reason.

Money is an absolute joke, you buy property and the rent/profits build up when your Xbox is on(with or without Fable2 in the drive) so after a couple days you're rolling in it. I guess they balanced that out by having almost nothing worth buying besides more properties.:(
When it comes to the fighting it's only slightly better. It's fun and all but like I said, no challenge. Maybe it was the magic I picked or w/e but I didn't need to put in any real effort. I held out hope that it got better but that didn't happen.

This is all my opinion of course. Like I said the game looks great and it's funny but that's not enough for me. I think they were too focused on the whole coop thing and they neglected the core game. That's kind of sad considering how bad the coop turned out to be. again imo.

A game you should probably get for PC is Mass Effect 2. I'd wait until you get your PC working better though, ME2 needed 2 discs on the 360(unheard of) so I assume it's very large.

Have I bought it yet? Of course I'd look at the options before buying. I know I'd want SF4 as well. I have no intention on buying a 360 either, so PS3 is fine by me, it's low on my priority list atm due to price, plus there are TONS of PS2 games I want too.

@Tails- You have this irrational hatred for the 360 and you will refuse to buy it even if it means buying a PS3 that's essentially the same but costs more.

I would've considered a PS3 when I got my 360 but they were overpriced for no apparent reason and they didn't have any games that I wanted to play that weren't on the 360. That's why I(and just about everyone I know) got a 360 and/or a Wii.

Btw I see a lot of Microsoft hate around here and I think it's a little unfair. Nintendo may be a decent company that has the interests of gamers in mind but Sony sure isn't. I know for a fact that they markup everything they sell because it's a Sony. No exaggeration needed anyone who has bought electronics in the last decade knows this. Sony is just a typical greedy corporation. They only cut the price of the PS3 because Wii and the 360 did. They are taking a huge loss to stay in the game. Here's hoping they fail. Don't worry PS3 people, those exclusives would just move to the 360 and Wii.

Honestly, I agree with your second post. Sony does make cheap POC (to save me from another episode lmao) but their games are really good imo. Konata got me into Disgaea and it's way too big for the PSP. That is my main goal and then get games I want for it. There is only one game I want for X-box though, it has Ciel and Zero from Megaman Zero, and that just ain't enough for a 360. I thought about getting an Xbox though but I'd wait til the pricing is really low.

I hope Disgaea goes to the Wii just like the DS game. >_>

Basically, when Sonic Next gen came out I almost saved up and bought a ps3 for that, but knowing Sega's record I waited. Glad I waited too.

InFamous was the last game i really got into, and actually felt like i got my moneys worth. Spent 60 bucks on cod mw2 and maybe played for a month and really have no interest in it. The artwork in InFamous really reminded me of The MAX!
