Kefka Palazzo: Epic or Not?

At school my friends often critisice me for playing as Kefka Palazzo
in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, claiming he's either gay or a total joke.

I decided to make a poll to show them he isn't the loser they think him as.

In your mind is Kefka an epic villain?

He's insane and has the power to do what he wants! He plays Emperor Gastahl and re-shapes the world and becomes it's undisputed ruler. He is one bad ass mother "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" I'm only talking about Kefka. "We can dig it."

While I agree that his attire is not the best around, he is a bad ass non the less. He is a very memorable and epic FF boss. When I think of the Final Fantasy series I think Kefka and Sephiroth in terms of villians.

Right off of the bat, I thought Kefka was just a whiny low ranking general, the game was quick enough to let me watch how he sets Figaro on fire and changed my opinion on him completely.

Still, I wouldn't know anything about Dissidia.

I also like what he says to Shantoto(FFXI). I think that showed he's not totally crazy, he knows when to respect real power.

I don't think that video showed him being any different than I remember him. He was always a borderline lunatic and I think that shows it well enough.

Honestly I don't care to discuss that, some other people might though. I think it's a pointless debate since all FF male characters are at least slightly metrosexual looking/acting. That being said if I was forced to choose I wouldn't even consider Squall when it comes to manly. I'm sure it's partially to do with my dislike of FF8 but it's more than that.

Kefka is like the Joker. He has the power and all he wants to do is make the world burn. He's totally insane yet he's the best developed villain character in the Final Fantasy series yet. Most other villains are some vague undefined evil force that hide out in some random corner of the earth (or moon) (or alternate earth) (or some random dimension and pop out for the final battle).

BTW if you like Kefka mast sure you give him your vote in GameFAQ's character battle.....at the time of posting its his round on the poll =).

Kefka is the exageration of the Joker (Batman). Like everything japanese do, they take something and make it exagerated. Still, he's pretty epic.

I never said mine aren't dorky. If I came into a topic and said what Tails did I'd expect backlash and rightfully so. I don't care how cool Pokemon is to some people it's still about a thousand times dorkier than a FF game. If the situation was reversed I'd fully expect you guys to rip me about my TNG obsession or something similar.

Either way I'm not trying to start a slap fight about who's dorky obsession is dorkier. I was just pointing out how funny it is for Tails to say that given his current avatar/sig combo.
