It's hard to say what my favorite sfx is. I'm one of those people who can tell what game you're playing by the sound effects and/or music(if I've played it obviously), I think music and sound are very important.

One that stands out in my mind is the sound of the Katana blocking bullets in Shadowrun for the 360. It's nothing special really but the fact that I'm blocking bullets with my sword makes it many times cooler than it should be.

Another one that stands out is the sound E.Honda makes when he does his superman(supersumo?) move, I can't even imagine how to spell it.

If that counts as a sound effect then I'll include whatever the hell Raiden says when he does his superman move. I have no idea why those two similar moves stand out in my mind btw.

Pretty much any Pokemon sound effect I would recognize as being from Pokemon. Also the music.

this reminds me i kinda like the sound of enemies dying in mystic quest. also excellent moves in dragon warrior, bullet bills being fired in the various mario games. theres too many to name them all. oh and mad clown from punchout makes an excellent sound, he does it in his little intro dance.

the sound of the chainsaw, wielded by a giant gandado from RE4 is one of my fav sounds even though it causes me to instantly panic whenever i hear it. i pretty much love every sound from the game dead space, utterly creepy and always kept me on the edge of my seat just anticipating my unavoidable doom. i really love that one sound that triggers every time you complete a challenge on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, at least this sound effect is a good thing as opposed to my other likings
