more often than not, when i go to a web page i get "your system might be at risk, click here to protect your system with green av"
this is bull. i already have virus protection, and i sure as crap not going to buy it off the internet. it stays at the top of the page, and on some websites i cant even log out because the thing blocks the logout button.
how do i get rid of this thing. (its like a pop up blocked message, only it never leaves)

I'm sure it's only inviting you to download some sort of virus. Is this on RU?

It may be a form of a Malware. Which I had at one point in time. Mine was a little more severe then that tho. It basically took over my comp, it took over my background.
I got a thing to check for Malware and it gets rid of them. That helped me get rid of those kind of things.
It may be a place to start. Hope it helps.
It is malware. Do not trust it.
Install Spybot Search and Destroy from here The home of Spybot-S&D! (http://www.safer-networking.org)
That should fix the problem.

You have to be careful with the Malware sometimes it may seem to have gone away but they have it set to go dormant for a bit then come back again.
That's why get the Malware programs to get rid of it then it will catch it and get rid of it for good.
