Insane Explosion

A tank battery fire near Lamesa, TX that was ignited by lightning. An explosion occurred, sending an 18" long, 4" diameter pipe valve rocketing from 200 yards away.

@DN- It's not uncommon for lightning to start fires, to bad they didn't get it on camera though.

Yes though Dude is right it does happen if the lightning is aimed in that direction to hit the gas plant but if you listen to the next part after the first gas tank explodes it hits the side of someone's car.
