I'd just like to know everyones favourite past tv shows, that meaning, shows that no longer run that just are plain awesome :)

In my opinion, My favourite past show is Home Improvement, I have a great memory, so I remember thiis show from when I was really young.
My brother found out it still plays on a channel called CMT, I've been watching it every night it's on (mon, tues, wed, Thurs).
I really doubt that channel is on in the states as it's first initial is "C" probably meaning canadian Something-Something.

But yeah, that's my favourite past show.

Obviously the correct answer is Married with Children.

Btw Home Improvement is in reruns in the US all the damn time.

Married with Children is the only sitcom that makes me L-O-L for realz. I've seen every episode multiple times and it's still funny.

Married with Children was another show I never could see. It was on at the same time as another show the fam watched (Star Trek: The Next Generation I think), so I never go to see it. I used to see the commercials, though, and I remember them being funny (Simpsons or All In The Family like somehow).

Excellent taste. I used to watch the Wizard too. That was a fun one. I don't think it was on for very long, but it was memorable.

M.A.S.H. was and is still in my top 5 shows of all time (Along with Stargate SG-1, Star Trek, and Doctor Who and a few others). My favorite characters were Major Charles Winchester III and Hawkeye. Great stuff that!

MASH was alright. At first I hated it because it meant it was getting late(it used to air around 3am when I was a teenager and didn't have cable). After being forced to watch it(again, no cable) I learned to like it. I don't like Hawkeye but the rest of them are pretty funny. I agree with WB Winchester was funny, much better than Frank Burns.

Btw I was reading about Al Bundy and I found out he earned a black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu:o
I didn't believe Wikipedia so I checked the source....
YouTube - al bundy gets black belt
That's Rorion Gracie giving him his belt. For those of you who don't know him he's a 9th degree ju jitsu black belt, the only person to hold that title. He's also one of the founders of the UFC.
To be fair it took Al Bundy 15 years to get his belt but he started in his 40s, quite an accomplishment either way.

Im also a fan of Dr. Who and Star Trek TNG. I never got into SG-1 but I did like the movie.

Another show I loved growing up was Amazing Stories and the Storyteller...pretty much anything that had fantasy in it and one of my Top 5

Red Dwarf

These aren't too far in the past but I think there were some of the best TV ever.
Deadwood
Firefly

Weren't both of those canceled very early Kong?

Another one I liked a lot was Roseanne. Laugh if you want but that show was actually good.
Also Dead Like Me was a good show.

I think the Deadwood writers were expecting 4 seasons but only got 3 so they had to rush through the 3rd.

Firefly got totally screwed and had to rush through their story and finish in a movie and comic books. It had a lot of wasted potential.

Both were still some of the best TV ever.

The new Battlestar Galatatica was decent.

Seinfeld. it has re-runs but no new episodes.

Firefly
Definitely, if FOX didn't try to go through 20 new series a month this would probably still be up.

Otherwise Star Trek(any), the Twilight Zone(both series), That 70's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, Just Shoot Me, and Seinfeld would make my top list.

Wonder Years was a good show indeed. I remember I used to have a major crush on Winney (maybe unconsciously that was a factor in my name). What a little :love-over: she was.

@Smittycal: Red Dwarf reminds me of a bad late night Cinemax movie minus the skin. Did that air in the U.S.?

Growing up in my house, ABC's T.G.I.F. lineup was must-see tv from about 1989 to 1995.
