Hello everyone! This is your opportunity to get in on the greatest contest in the history of time. My band has spent countless hours trying to think of a name. We just can't think of anything we all like. This is why we need you.

The Rules:
Reply to this thread with what you think we should name our hip-hop band. That's all there is to it.

They are one of few. The Gym Class Heroes are another. And then Rage Against The Machine is, in my eyes, a hip-hop band.

Also, explain the names 40's and 9's. Because I don't get it. What does it mean?

Tom, how many people in the band? Not that it matters for a name but it might, are there any other interests that you guys have? I think it would help us with the name with a little more background.

More background? Er...ok. There are 5 of us including me. We are considering adding a 6th member to play the trumpet. When previously searching for a name, we tried to think of something from a good movie, such as Boondocks Saints or Clockwork Orange.

We all are kind of into different kinds of music, but we managed to come together to make this hip-hop band.

We still don't have a name. We haven't practiced in a long time due to the ice storm and loss of power. I have all the suggestions from here and elsewhere on a list that I am going to give to all the guys. I'll let you all know what we decide and if someone from here won those fabulous prizes.

Well guys, first let me say I appreciate all the suggestions very much. My band has a name and, unfortunately, it was not suggested by anyone on this thread. We have decided to go with the name Project Mayhem (you know, from Fight Club).

This was suggested by a personal fan, and he has won the contents of my wallet.

My favorite suggestions on this thread were:

Styles Davis suggested by Sabby
Mecha Mecha Fly suggested by Tenser

But my band has spoken. Once again I thank everyone who participated.
