A half full bottle of beer left from the previous night and a slice of leftover pizza heated in the toaster oven..... no joke.

I usually start my day with some type of smoothie and then follow up with coffee most any other day.

@Kong - whats fried cheese,
is it what it sounds like?

Kong
05-23-2009, 03:32 PM
At a restaurant it usually is deep fried battered cheese.

What I do is put thinly sliced or shredded cheese on an iron skillet and cook it. The natural oil drips out and fries it crisp like bacon. It is probably more healthy than regular cheese since a lot of the oil is left on the pan.

I've only tried it on iron skillets. No problem. Just scrapes off. Might have problems with other types of pans. Goes with anything it is like a cheese flavored bacon or cheese chips.

Dojah

No it's when you take a piece of bread, butter it and cut a hole in the middle...drop it in a pan then crack an egg and put it in the hole. Cook it just like a regular egg, flip it when you would normally flip an egg and sha-bam...you got yourself a bullseyed egg. It's also called an egg in the basket I think. But it's something real quick to make and real good. Little dab of syrup on the side is also good.:)

Kugyince
05-23-2009, 06:39 PM
@Dojah: Its also called gashouse eggs as well.

@ Sez: You can do the same thing with parmesan cheese and bake it instead. Its healthier. Just spread out tablespoon dots of parm cheese on parch paper and bake until slightly brown. They harden into nice crackers. You can also season them as soon as you take them out when they're still soft with pepper or paprika or what have you. I usually dress up mashed potatoes with it when entertaining.

Today I had:
Breakfast - Coffee, black, no sugar
Lupper - Pizza and a beer
Snack - Celery stuffed with cream cheese and green olives

Three cheese mac and cheese bread bowl and a spinach pizza from Dominoes for dinner and it was awesome(I didn't eat it all, some left over for breakfast). Pretty heavy meal though but totally worth it.

Btw how can you guys go without eating breakfast? I usually can't eat for about an hour after I get up but then I have to eat or I feel sick. You're a bunch of weirdos, you should at least eat a slice of bread or toast it. Something to give you some fuel.

Sometimes I shred some mild cheddar cheese and spread it out on a lightly oil coated baking pan. Throw it in a 350-400 degree oven (not sure the bake time... I just eye it out) and cook it til it's nice and melty with a slight brown on the top. Let it cool some and then I'm left with homemade Cheez-It's!!! Tasty.

That's some hearty breakfast there!

Today, I had microwavable pancakes. Never tried them before because I'm somewhat "anti microwavable foods that weren't ever meant to be microwaved" kind of guy. Well, I must admit that those pancakes out of the microwave were not so bad after all, and there was little to no mess to clean up, which was probably the best thing about them. :)

Boil some spuds, and make mash out of them
Grate loas of strong chese over the mash (it should be kinda 50/50 more cheese than mash)
put chives in there and a red onion, white onion and a clove of garlic.
then throw it into a pie and cook it!

alternativly you can use sweet potato or you can add other veg in like peppers ect
I like to put a bit of corriander in.

It's really good! It's really just Orange Julius in a non frozen form.

I hope I'm not pregnant!

When I was a kid my mother (or "mum";)) would make Orange Julius in the summer time. I haven't had it for many years, and then just last week I was watching a Tiger baseball game, and one of the players said he drinks the 50/50 milk/oj before every game for good luck. Now I do the same. Give it a try!

Dang it, I half expected that at least somebody would of comment on how gross the scientific description of Filmjölk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmj%C3%B6lk)("Filmilk") sounded, and then ask if I was enought Swedish viking to eat fly agaric with vinegar...

Before: Burnt black toast with peanut butter and strong coffee with WAY too much sugar.

Recently: more healthy with cereal or active culture yogurt and fruit or whole grain bread with eggs and raw vegetables.

I have been buying my coffee by the cup and having 1 a day instead of 6 or 7 a day (no joke), and have started exercising again and my goal is to drop a pant size (or at least the Homer Simpson look).

BREAK (-ing your) FAST is crucial if you want to lose weight, so be sure to have just a little something when you get up.

But I feel the need to say this about that:

McDonald's 'breakfast' is ready-made, and you don't even have to get out of your car, but you would feel better with whole grain breads, fresh raw vegetables, and eggs (or something of that nature) and get the exercise going to the store, and the satisfaction of cooking it yourself.
