i beat dead space today, i'm not going to say it is one of the greatest video game moments, but the final cutscene is worth watching.

my personal favorite moment came in high school, having a lan party, playing starcraft...out of nowhere in a multiplayer game, we hear "nuclear launch detected" and the bomb detonates on someone's base. so types "was that a nuke" the reply was "no, {another friend's last name}'s mom just jumped up and landed on my base" this other friend was playing in another room down the hall. suddenly we hear "thump, thump, thump" and this kid runs down the hall and starts punching the friend that typed in the comment in the face...so classic.

I was particularly effected the first time that I saw the first little cut scene in Resident Evil. When the first zombie looks up from its meal, groans, and starts chasing after you...well...I may have messed myself a little...

I use to work at a small Internet company. There was about 10 employees. The bosses loved Coutnerstrike, I hated it. I hate all 3D games. But since they liked it we all had to play on the clock for about 2 hours everyday.

One day we made a bet. I could have any weapon. Everyone else could only have knives. 10 on 1. First to 50 kills wins. If I won everyone had to give me $5 each. If I lost I had to wear a dress to work. To me clothes are very unimportant but 50 bucks is pretty cool so I took the bet.

Everyone was communicating through speaker phones. I was about to win but it was close. My boss, the third highest guy in the company, and a guy that was the same level as me were both trying to be the alphamale and tell everyone what to do. They were pushing eachothers buttons and starting to get verbally intense. The boss tried to tell the other guy what to do and he responded with some smart ass comment about him not being the boss in the game. The boss got up and came into our office and punched him. I tried to keep the game going so I could win the bet but everyone just went home and the bet was canceled and the event was never talked about again.

Both of them were fired. The boss got 1 million dollars in stock for accepting forced resignation. The other guy got free insurance for him and his pregant wife until the baby was a year old plus something like $20,000 in stock and a couple free paychecks.

I quit a couple months later, nice and quietly with a 4 weeks notice and I got no parting gifts. Moral of the story, piss your boss off until he punches you.

Both versions are The Office are pretty good. Also, I think that having some office experience helps in appreciating some of the humor.

I used to think that the British version was better, but after watching this year's episodes on-line, I'm not so sure. They had a run of 4 or 5 episodes that were absolute money. I think, collectively, the cast of the American version is better, but, as an individual, Ricky Gervais is just wicked. Love that guy. His stand-up is terrible, though.

may i add that the british won the wars and americans just made films of it to make it look like they did! i live in the UK and its funny to think that all you americans just think we are all londeners that are all posh and talk funny. i live no where near london and have nothing like a london accent all you guys think we have. @sez, i bring up war because we don't have tea time, we start wars. i never mentioned ww2, as matter of fact, i will acknowledge the determination and resistance of the british people as the singular most important reason as to why hitler and the nazis were defeated in the war. if the uk falls, then there is no place for the normandy invasion to launch from.

i played rugby for 4 years while in was in college, so i know all about it. i firmly believe that it is a superior game to american football, both to play and watch. it is the lone reason why i subscribe to sky sports.

i also believe american football is the reason why the us can not dominate the "international" sports, i.e. soccer, rugby. the best of our athletic talent plays and learns our sports in the youth leagues and ultimately in our professional leagues. if our american football players instead spent their lives training for rugby or soccer, we would be untouchable.

I agree with your opinion on FOOTBALL, but I disagree on your patriot style bullying,

Britain once owned most of teh civilized world and more than that of the uncivilized world. Colonies are like children: they still love Mom and Dad but want their own space, their own lives. America is like that.

Compared to Britain, America is barely a teenager, owing to the fact that Britain has a much longer history than America does. That is due to the fact that white Europeans like the British, French and Spanish came over to the North American Continent and killed off 99% of the native population and penned the rest of them up on reservations beginning acouple hundred years ago. (Ok, four centuries, give or take)

The Dutch took a look at some of that Eastern Seaboard land and lost interest due to the natives and the British. Mind you, this is just a thumbnail sketch and by no means encompasses all of the truly rich history that we two nations share with each other.

After all the bickering and squabbling between England and America ended, we settled into being pretty decent trading partners and fighting allies. I actually prefer to see it that way.

americans always boast about their army (which can never be a good thing anyway), but britain can claim to have the regiment that has the most vigorous training in the world. the SAS, but like i said this shouldn't be rejoiced over, as this is what causes wars.

Forget the differences and personal preferences. We are the TWO GREATEST COUNTRIES ON THE PLANET! That is my honest opinion.

the much more likely scenario is that it did make sense to the british at one time, and you have outgrown it, there was a time with britain ruled roughly 1/4 of the world...and you think the british weren't pompous about that? i believe they were incredibley pompous about it, hence why they never allowed representation in their government for any of its colonies. the british were too patriotic and full of themselves to allow anything like that.

Before you guys get all hot and bothered I just wanna point out that people are people regardless of location. I'm sure Britain has it's share of uber patriots just like the US has it's share of people who like tea time.

Growing up I drank tea and ate desserts while watching TV with my grandmother, tea time. It's not just a limey tradition so get over that idea.
