choir solo auditions

we are doing a big concert where we sing 3 hours worth of awesome 80's songs

and tomorrow are auditions for the solos which is just someone sings the whole song-solo

this is the first concert that I've done where people do the full song by themself, i hear the concert is extremely awesome and i will post videos here when its done
they arent really full songs to keep the concert quick we do like 2 minutes of each song

tomorrow im auditionng for two songs
man in the mirror-michael jackson (first like two minutes)
every breathe you take- the police (first like two minutes)

and a possible duet with my good friend erika who is an amazing singer
sabby knows the whole story on her :)
we dont know what song we will try if we do

Every breath you take is a great song. It might be hard to do it justice though. I'm not a fan of Man in the Mirror so I'd go with The Police for sure.

out of the music from that entire decade, i wasn't sure if a grand total of 3 hours of awesome music existed.

if you wanted the concert to be really great, i would recommend replacing a few pop songs with Can I Play with Madness by Iron Maiden, Poison by Alice Cooper, and Smooth Up in Ya by the BulletBoys

I was putting some songs on my little brothers PSP for him (nothing to hard core just some songs he wanted, so i downloaded them for him)
when i found out that he has some ICP on there.

...Aparently he has been going around school singing "ICP - My axe."

alright so monday, tuesday and wednesday this week we had rehearsal for the show and i had to sing "man in the mirror" in front of everyone in choir, i hated it and i sounded horrid

thursday-opening night of show, i did alright but my voice cracked so i would have given it a 6/10

friday- day 2 went better but a lyrical mistake was made i give it 7.5/10

saturday- final night was amazing!!!!!! I didnt mess up once i wasn;t nervous at all and a few people i dont even know said i did amazing
and erika said that it was amazing which was great because shes always been honest to me, if i do bad she tells me, and she said it was great :D i say 10/10 i was astonished that i did so well

the video of me performing man in the mirror by michael jackson will be on youtube and posted here within the next month
