Tough group of games here... Personally, Supa MK, Supa Metroid, and Zelda were some of my favorite games of all-time. However, Doom (and Wolfenstein 3D before it) virtually created the entire FPS genre. Those ShareWare floppy discs spread like wildfire. Plus, Doom was the first game where I can remember actually being scared while playing it...

my opinion is that super mario kart is way overrated, it is just a sprite on a mode 7 screen

Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Streets of Rage II, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for me. This was the easiest poll so far to make a decision on.

I've been playing Mario Kart 64 lately and it trumps snes mario kart I can't even look at it. I just beat Link to the Past for the first time...what a great game!

You guys may have already discussed this in a previous forum, but how would you compare it to the Wind Waker? I never really got into the 3D Zeldas, but I thought the Wind Waker was a really bold step with its cel-shaded animation and superb sound design. Again, I haven't played all the Zelda's that have been released, but the WW is my favorite since the original

donkey kong country

donkey kong country was one of my favorites
well better then the origanal
