Sim City and Civilization. Both are so epic that games are compared to them all the time.
Btw, Secret of Monkey Island? Really?

I voted for SimCity, Super Mario Bros. 3, Sonic the Hedgehog , and Street Fighter II.

Secret of Monkey Island was cool and funny. It really helped promulgate the wave of cool Lucasarts games of the late 80's-early 90's (Like Zak McKracken which was sweet!). I'm glad it was included on the poll.

Go back to playing Risk with the rest of your Science Club dateless buddies. Civilization fails hard.

Ouch! Civilization was fun, but it didn't have the impact many of the other on the list.
I liked the Risk board game by the way. Chess was fun too.

Chess can be fun when you're evenly matched. If someone is far better or worse than you its very boring.

Fair enough. Although, giving someone a thorough drubbing can be fun sometimes. >:D

Chess is just a really old school RTS with bad graphics and no options.

For me, this was an easy choice. I may enjoy playing something like Civilization more now that I'm older, but Super Mario Bro. 3 was much more influential. People who don't even play games any more can still pick up a controller and soak up some nostalgia vibes.

Sonic and SF2.
These polls are tough for me. I haven't played some of the games.

Im voting for Secret of Monkey Island since like Winnebagel I am a big fan of SCUMM, and one of the only people here who remember Zak Mckraken.

Now see, Im confused.........I thought these polls were not based on how the game influenced others, that these polls were based on the games individual impact........am I wrong or what?

anyways, I agree with all the games that moved on, even though Im personally not a Sonic fan either (In the newer ones, i always liked raising my Chao's, but, ironically, I also thought that was what brought down Sonic games):bulgy-eyes:

The bottomline with this kind of poll is popularity. The games were picked because they had a big impact but when it comes to us voting it's just which ones we personally like really.
