We have finished playing this time. When there is another 8 people that want to play we will start round two. Post here if you are interested.

First 7 people to sign up can play Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Orb of Knowledge (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/How_To_Host_A_Mystery_-_Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation). It is a "How to Host a Murder/Mystery" box game.

You will need to read PDF files to play. I recommend using http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader_2/down_reader.htm. But you can also use Adobe's PDF reader.

You will also need to be able to play MP3 files. Any media player will do.

You do not need to know anything about Star Trek to play. You will have to read about your character and type in character like in the wolf forum games. If you decide to play then please try to keep it fast paced and post at least every other day two. Don't run away for three days and make us wait on you.

I can second that. It was a fun game. It's like taking an RPG to another level, and I think all of us who played had fun. I know I did.

It was like playing this game with a group of friends at your house, but with all your RU friends playing at Kong's house.

I highly recommend the game to anyone who can have fun with it. It's totally different from anything else on RU, though I hope one day there will be more games on here like this.

Yeah it is meant to be played with friends at a gathering like a dinner party. They explain relevant info and characters briefly each round usually and it plays like a wolf game from what I understand.

My only question is which characters slots are open, I think I've asked a few times but maybe if I make it stand out more, it will be noticed:

And yes, I've gone through the topic, and all I've found is that person X hasn't got a character yet, and this person who dropped out definitely has this character.

It would be much simpler if there was some kind of list that showed in a concise manner which character slots are still open.

This was an official forum game with official badges awarded to participants. You can create your own forum games the way you've done with the story based games I've been posting on recently. The Star Trek game waws a WOLF type forum game.

This game takes 8 people and they need to log in to play nearly every day for a week or two. Once you play you can't play again because the answer is the same every time. We have had 16 people play so far and the last game didn't go to smooth because of delays. So it will probably be a long time before we give it another go.

I can only be on the computer on weekends. That's still pretty rare. You should give those kinds of people to play that adjusts to their schedule.

In my opinion the problem with this game is the people playing it. It's hard to get this many people together and consistently doing it until it's done. It's meant to be done in one sitting in a dinner party setting.
