Help on Chuck Rock for SNES

On Chuck Rock for SNES, it appears that there is no way past the alligator on level 2. I dont know if it is a bug or I am just missing something, but I kinda want to know.

Are you talking about the second level boss?

I dont know, theres just this yellow alligator that has arrows pointiong down on the top of it, and i can't figure out a way to get past it.

Ok thats a easy one there all you have to do is grab a rock that is nearby and stand on the tail of the alligator and throw the rock at the head of it. It will spring you up to the landing there.

Thanks a bunch. It was seriously bugging me. Now I can finally get farther in the game.
