Bible Games for the NES is bad. Before I begin the review, let's look for a good game made by Wisdom Tree (previously Color Dreams)
Sorry, can't find one. This is no exception.
Graphics
Graphically the game looks pretty standard, but flicker and graphical glitches are everywhere. After about an hour of playing (I made it that far) I felt like I was going to vomit. The graphics give you a headache, but take away flicker and glitches and they aren't that bad.
Sound
The game sounds even worse than it looks. The annoying loop music never changes, and goes on forever, and considering this game is about the Bible, I think the music is showing what happens to bad people when they die.
Fun Factor
The game is basically a Super Mario Bros. 2 (Doki Doki Panic) clone with some horrid design and objectives thrown in. The games either have you collect things or bring an object to the end of a level, with a Mario 2 combat system, making the game bland and tedious. I doubt this game was play tested (what can you expect from Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree though?)
There are three games here, one just has you advance (while answering bible questions) one has you save baby Moses (the worst of the bunch) and two have you collecting animals (BAD!)
Challenge
The challenge here is about standard for an NES title, it won't have you break your controller, but it won't let you win. Of course, there's no fun to be had in the challenge, but I can't factor that in.
Replay value
I beat everything to review it, and I don't think you'll want to beat ONE of these pathetic "games" or even beat a level.
Closing comments
Every game has one die-hard fan, but I cannot imagine one person enjoying this game, it's pathetically bad and has no fun at all. I cannot remember anything positive about the game, only the frustration and boredom. This game's great, if you want appreciation for the classics.
