Mostly for Winnebagel.

But I'm just curious about "3DO Interactive Multiplayer".
I'ts $65 at the pawn shop I go to,

I've researched it, and it looks like it could have been quite successful, but the cost held it back.

In any case, It looks like a very good console, But, I have a few questions.

Is 65 bucks a good price?
does it have good games?
does it have a wide library?
Does it work well? (live long?)

I think it looks good, and I may get it as yet another console.
But I need to be sure.

Is it worth getting?

Without games it is worthless so only buy it if you also plan on getting a couple games.

I had one when I was a teenager. It was a lot of fun.

If you like laser disk and point and click games like Space Ace, Dragon's Lair and Myst then you will love it. If not then don't bother.

I really liked a few games for 3DO. If it's only 65$ and it works I'd say it's worth it. But like Kong said make sure you can get some good games.

You might like The Horde if you can find it. I liked Star Control but it can be kinda heavy on the RPG stuff. Not sure if you'd be into it but it's an awesome game.

I'm looking for good racers like top gear, and good shooters like wolfenstein 3d, and doom, only jazzed up a bit.

3DO is worth it. You can download the .iso files and burn them on a plain old CD and they'll work. Thus the entire library is free. (Insert legal disclaimer here)

3DO also had some nice survival horror games if you like that genre.

Meh for those types of games you'd be better off getting new games on 360 or Ps3. Unless you're doing it just to have the old games I see no reason to buy retro. Most of those games are already out for next gen and they are awesome. I'd only get a system like 3DO to play games I can't find anywhere else since it's not even emulated at this point(I think).
Btw was it you that wasn't online with Xbox? If so maybe buy a gold membership. Playing games online is much better than solo. Most new games limit the modes for single player on purpose to force people online.

There's this awesome FPS game I heard of called Shadowrun, you might like it.

If you get lucky you might even get to kill me. Probably not though since I am kinda leet.

Free > $50

Especially when you're Cam's age and working part-time.

Yeah I know that. Just saying if he's gonna spend money on the console it could be better used for the system he already has. A 360 without a gold membership is like half a system. Btw I'm not even sure it was cameron anyways I just saw 360 in his huge sig.

Yeah, Sorry about the sig.

Tenser already pm'ed me, it's shortened.

So I do like survival games.

Left 4 Dead isn't much like other survival/horror games. Especially old ones.
