@tenser, Yeah evg isn't a dead forum. I'm not sure why I didn't post over there. I did make an account a couple years ago and I think I posted about a game and you answered it. But I couldn't find any of it. I might be getting old.

That is a fair assessment. Although I would substitute very slow with slower. RU has a little more going for it, overall feel of the site is that it is the cleaned up, polished, shiny version of EVG. RU is the Marcy Brady while EVG is the Jan.

A few newbs still show up, most put in their one post to say hi, then they are gone. I stay over there because I've gotten attached to it, been a member over there for almost 3 years. That and I really enjoy making mama jokes at one of the mods over there.

I could see how it could be misconstrued as such. RU is certainly the more adult forum. While here you can say the word "ass" (as long as it isn't in a defamatory manner) you can also bet banned from here for "tlkin liek 7h15".

I think what Steven is claiming is that both forums have a different feel to them and they both contain small, tight-knit groups. Granted some people overlap to both groups, but its just a different mind set.

Its like a porter and a stout. While their both dark, hoppy ales, some people prefer one over the other.

I think you mentioned on N-D that you like simcity for snes. This game is similar but even easier. Of course it's much much slower.

just wanted to mention that im not all about the flaming that goes on at evg,but it is fun because we always keep it light hearted and very rarely does anyone actually try to piss someone off, its like hangin out with buddies in real life, if we didnt make fun of each other we'd barely even speak.

so to sum it up, i like evg for the laid back relaxing attitude, and i like ru for its more mature conversation. but like cameron said (lord help me)
