My laptop had Antivirus '08 on it and to get rid of it i could re-install windows vista. but now my ethernet controller dosn't work and it is quite annoying because i wanted to try mirror's edge before i buy.

Where did they go? What does the device manager say..are they gone gone or do they have errors? The drivers...at any rate should be on your D: partition.

Go to www.hp.com
click drivers
type in the name of your computer
Select the operating system
Select the network driver and download and install it.

Hopefully Tenser will learn from this. You don't break a combo without a funny picture.

Vista is much better than XP. Windows is currently the best OS for the average home user. Linux is catching up fast and in a couple years will probably be the best for the average home user. Especially if MS takes another 5 years to release their next version.

Yeah I'm just being a jerk about it. I love Microsoft, I'm just disappointed with how Vista was launched. Buggy and not casual user friendly. Kinda the opposite of the previous operating systems. I thought the point of Windows is being user friendly?

ive got vista and the only design flaw is that its just too top heavy, too much stuff using up your rescources, other than that no complaints

Sorry, new games aren't my area of expertise. I do know that Alienware's selling point is they should be capable of playing most games.

crysis and far cry are extremely high tech, and require atleast 2gbs ram. my pc has 6.re4 only takes 256mb ram.
