I like a very specific type of TV. Story arcs or serialized TV. I hate episodic TV. I also try not to start watching until it is finished airing. The "To be continued" at the end of the first Back To The Future scared me early on. Now I have to know that I can see the next episode whenever I please - right away.

Can you recommend any good serialized TV shows?

Serialized examples;D
Back To The Future (movie but it is serialized)
Lord Of The Rings (movie but an example of what I am looking for)
The Sopranos (couldn't keep up it's momentum)
Firefly (perfect except being canceled after once season)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (despite my preconceptions it was actually good)
Deadwood (great series that I just finished but canceled early, I hate that)
Rome (canceled early, just started it)
The Shield (good. I have two more seasons to watch)
Battlestar Galatica Revisited (not finished airing yet, great show)
Lost (not finished airing, started it but will wait until it finishes before I continue)
Rescue Me (ditto)
Prison Break (why isn't this completed yet, I started it but will wait until they finish drawing it out before continuing)
Arrested Development (canceled early, FOX you are idiots)
Farscape (it gets better towards the end)

Episodic examples>:(
These are shows that you can watch out of order because at the end of every show they always put things right back where they started at. They are so predictable and they have that annoying laugh track on repeat to remind you when they made a joke. I hate shows like this.

If you like Buffy the TV show then you should watch Angel. It's darker and more mature. Personally I hated Buffy the TV and movie. Angel I didn't think I'd like but it grew on me pretty quick.

I didn't see it on your list so I'm not sure if you've seen it but Stargate and Stargate Atlantis are both good shows. They cross over story lines since they're in the same universe/timeframe. Some episodes aren't directly linked to the main story but that's expected.

I noticed Farscape on your list. I liked that show alot.

Lexx is another good one but it's story can be hard to follow. It's not a normal show at all, some of the stories were pretty bizzare.

All I can think of atm.

I also started heroes, 4400 and Eureka but gave up on them until they are finished airing.

I will try the ones you suggested Dudebro.

Deadwood was my favorite except for the early cancellation. Firefly would have been my second favorite except for the very early cancellation. Battlestar Galatica was probably second or third.
