Heh. Seriously, I think it would be nice if we could get some listed game types in Retro Uprising. For example...
Super Mario Brothers - Platform, Adventure
The Legend of Zelda - RPG, Adventure
Power Quest - Fighting
Shaq Fu - Fighting
Azure Dreams - RPG
This way, we could list the games by their type and know which games are similar. It wouldn't be an insane amount of work, just a little bit every so often...

We actually already have that. But it seems it went missing? Kong what happened to it? I know he had genre ones and a recommended one as well.

Not without me complaining about 70% of the NES ones. How is SMB and adventure?
Anyways, there are plans to do this again in the future. Its just not a high priority.

I know, just saying.
Funny this comes up now. A few mins ago I was talking about you Tenser. I was telling my friend how you argue Dragon Warrior isn't a true RPG. He was adamant it is an RPG. He signed up here awhile ago but never gets around to posting, I'll keep bugging him with this and maybe he will. 8)

I'm both willing and capable of defending my stance any time he wishes. I propose that Dragon Warrior I is not a RPG. If he wishes to debate that statement, I welcome him bringing any new aspects to my decision that I may have overlooked.

Alright Kong. And New games sound great. Like maybe add some games from the Sega or other systems.

@tenser we have argued the fact that Dragon warrior is not an RPG ;D, and it was fun I call it a tie because I stand by the fact that since it was one of the first in its genra it was making an attempt at being a Role Playing Game you could choose different weapons and level up your char but it was a very liner RPG not much of the desicion making aspects But correct me if I am wrong you only call the first DW a adventure you don't think the whole series is adventure.

A somewhat okay topic. If you're having trouble finding the genre you're looking for, I suggest using search to find them. That's how I found every RPG on this site.

So, Tenser, would you then call Dragon Warrior a Point & Clink/Adventure game then? It would sound more like it.

I'll correct two wrong statements. DW1 is not an RPG and DW1 is not one of the first in its genre even if it was an RPG.
Yes I consider the other DW's that I've played RPGs.
@VideoY3K: I would consider it an adventure game. Albeit a lousy one.
