Can anyone recommend any games for the X-Box 360? I'm thinking of buying one when it becomes affordable and I'd like to know which ones are good for it. Thank you all in advance.

You didn't say what kind of games you like.
When my friends and I play 360 we usually end up playing Halo3. I find it fun to play in big random games and pwn some noobs.
Other games we like are Civilization Revolution(new, pretty damn good), Call of Duty4, Shadowrun, Fight Night and Madden.
Also, Elder scrolls Oblivion is awesome if you like RPGs.

It all depends on what you are into
RPGS
Two worlds is a really good game that is like elder scrolls oblivion the main difference is you can play online with 8 people I think.
then there is
Lost oddessy a final fantasy clone type game that is awesome in my oppinion it has good game controls great graphics and a really good story line most people put down the story but I feel that is was a well thought out indept story. (mainly people did not like the main char.)
halo 3 is always good for a shooter.

oh I also liked command and conquer
and gears of war 2 will be coming out soon

I forgot about Lost Oddessy. I have no doubts that'll be a good one.
And I always wanted to try Civilization Revolution. I was already planning on getting that for the DS.
And how about Saint's Row? Is that one any good? I'd like to know.

I don't know about Saints Row, Fatal Inertia isn't a bad WipeOut rip-off
and if your into the big robot thing Armor Core 4 is a fun game, the final boss is cheap though...

civ revolution i wouldnt get on ds the map seems small which is why i am spending extra thirty this week for it on the 360

Saints Row isn't that great. It's not terrible but it's basically a GTA clone. Buy it if it's only like 20 bucks.

yes it is and it is 20 at like eb games but i think in some ways its better than gta and some ways its worse

Yeah it's worth playing if you like GTA. I liked how you can call the wheel woman(or man?), then they come pick you up and let you do drive bys without the driving part. ;)

When my older brother was trying GTA4 he was in the helicopter, so I told him to push triangle(or Yellow(Y?)) to shoot out of it. It was hilarious to see his face as the character screamed as he fell like 5 thousand feet to the street.

Alright, you guys talked me into it. When I get a X-Box 360, I'll get GTA4 as (maybe) one of my first games.
To all those who recommended CoD4, maybe I'll get one too. Does it have a good single player game?
I read in the Game Informer that Soul Calibur 4 will be out soon for the X-Box 360. That'll also be one of my first games.
Tales of Vasperia may already be out for the X-Box 360 as well. It may not be my first games I'll get, but I will get that one as well.
Any others?

@Tails - yeah I have Street Fighter on 360.
Another good 360 game that's coming out is Fallout3. It's made by the people who make Elder Scrolls so I'm 99% it will RULE.

If you have some friends to play it with, Rock Band is one of the best investments you can make. Rock Band 2 is coming in September, so I would probably wait for that one. But Rock Band is the best multiplayer game ever made.
GTA4 is awesome. I love it. Saints Row is also awesome. I think they are 2 very different games with different things to offer, and both worth playing.
Hitman: Blood Money is awesome.
Oblivion is awesome.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is pretty awesome.

I'm gonna keep saying it until someone plays it. Shadowrun. I bought my copy for 14.99 used at gamestop. It's one of my favorite fps.

I haven't forgotten Civilization Revolution.
I with you about Madden 09. That'll be one of the first games I'll try for when I get a X-Box 360.

All I have atm is Halo3/Shadowrun and Mass Effect. Well Crackdown also but I'm the only person on the planet who likes it.

Awesome, I really don't know anyone who will play crackdown with me. I can't understand it at all. How much cooler can a game be? You can jump huge distances, even rooftop to rooftop. You can pick up a car and throw it at people. You can even pick up dead bodies and hurl them at people.
Not to mention the shooting part. I love shooting a badguy in the foot then walking up after he falls and stepping on him until he dies. Also when badguys pull up to me in a car and I kick it until they die inside it.(For anyone unfamiliar with this game, you're character is basically superstrong and agile. So kicking a car will flip it and start to destroy it.)
Seriously, this game is FTW.
Btw MJ, do you know if you get a silver membership it allows you to get a free gold membership for a month?

Just wanna correct you about the Xbox thing. You can't say it's just Xbox with the jackass players. From what I hear PS3 is full of them too. Wii would be too if it had voice chat. People are people no matter what console they play on.

I thought Mirror's Edge was awesome. It is really short so I would agree with renting it. But I thought it was pretty awesome and I still play the time trials with my friends and we compete to see who can get the best time.
