I wouldnt recommend looking of optical illusions on YouTube because a lot of them have a something "scary" that pops out at the end, and I saw 2 videos where the icon looks sickening, and I found 1-2 GOOD optical illusions.

Wow some of the reviews are so awesome.
It’s rare that a movie makes me ill these days, and it’s rare that I can see a movie and hate the people behind it with such abhorrence, but Meet the Spartans rises to the challenge.
Meet the Spartans is a mild improvement over their "Epic Movie," which is like saying that a debilitating fever is more fun than appendicitis....

Despite those reviews I'll probably still rent it off Netflix. Actually, now I gotta see it since the reviews are all negative. Can't be all bad right? :-\

I don't recommend playing any Gameboy DS RPGs unless it's Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings.
Etrian Odyssey is decent, but can really be a pain in the neck. So unless you're into really tough RPGs, I wouldn't recommend it either.
And if you're going to play Final Fantasy 3, play it here on this site. It's 100 times better here then the DS version. Trust me.

What is was, Timber Wolf, in case you haven't caught up reading this thread, I posted about how I would not recommend playing any of the Gameboy DS RPG's unless it was Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings. TrakMasterTom posted in responce that there will be a Crono Trigger game on the DS.
To anyone reading, I remembered buying Final Fantasy 3 for the DS and that version's crappy. I wouldn't recommend it. Because of this, I'm pretty spectical about the DS Crono Trigger (that it may go 3D as well). Unless I learn more about the game, I won't bother with it.

Here's an update on my last post: I took me three days, but I made it to Elfheim (or wherever it's called in the game), and I finally freed Luigi from his stone state. He is now 3 levels behind everyone else, but I'll continue on anyway. This'll be a good challenge for me.
Forgive me for being off-topic. I'll keep you posted.
[br]Posted on: August 16, 2008, 11:39:24 PM________________________________________________ _Here's an update of my last post: I got Luigi back. That's good. But my biggest concern was that were Luigi was 3 levels behind the others, I thought that he might slow my party down. On the contrary! He was a bigger help then I thought he'd ever be, and it didn't take him too long to be caught up with the others. I guess a 4-man party is better then a 3-man party anyday.

Batman Forever on Genesis and Game Gear. Really, why would you repackage Mortal Kombat into a Batman game? Makes you think Batman would rip someone's spinal cord out. And the controls just suck. The GameGear version sucked even worse because of worse graphics, and too much need to compress the control scheme to just TWO BUTTONS from 6 of them.

I not only don't like Will Farrell but I think he deserves to be on the Disney channel as a host or something - he's that bad.
So is his ridiculous hair.
Zarny:
By today's standards, a lot of the older TV shows like Star Trek: TNG seem very strange.
I am saying this as a ST: TNG fan who was glued to the screen waiting to see the next episode during its day, so you know.
I read somewhere that the failure of the Star Trek 'universe' was that the main characters were too good to be true.
Too virtuous, too righteous, just too darned GOOD.
People like some BAD and even UGLY to balance things out; at least that's my take on it.
Even these lovely ladies weren't enough to save it though...

I think it's funny that this is what passes for aliens in Star Trek. They are just humans with foreheads that look like a Snickers bar.

Also, I don't recommend following brawlmaster's recommendation.>:D

Does an opinion hurt you personally so much that you feel that their post deserved a rate down?
Why don't I rate your post down because I like The Tick? Because it's just respect for opinion, that's why. :dont-know:

TNG answered that issue in an episode if wanna know-
An ancient species "seeded" our part of the universe and all the sentient life resembles them with minor differences like head/nose ridges.
Yeah I put it in a spoiler. I respect TNG like that.:teeth:

I bet they "explained" it way after the fact, when people caught on to their laziness.

Well yeah of course, TNG is the second show in the series. It's hard to justify the corny crap from TOS but it is the first series and they claim it as cannon. At least they made the Klingons look somewhat different. In Kirks day they were just darker skinned humans with mustaches and goatees.
TNG also touched on that too. Worf was asked about the change and he refused to talk about it. Something about it being a stain on the Klingons honor. I'm not a trekkie so I don't know more than that. Maybe WB can fill us in?

I hope WB knows more than I do about it, because I remember a whole sequence where Worf explains how Klingons tried to make themselves even more fierce by altering thier genetic code.
The experiment was an embarrassment to the Klingon Empire, and that is why they don't talk about it openly.
THIS particular sequence may have been on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
WB?

Like I said I'm no trekkie so I don't know it all. What you said sounds familiar and I do believe it was from DS9, the episode where they relived the Tribbles thing.

Does this ring any bells? I got it off of a link from the site Dudebro brought up.
The Klingon augment virus was a modified form of Levodian flu that threatened to wipe out the Klingon race in the mid-22nd century. It was inadvertently created by Klingon researchers who were attempting to bio-engineer enhanced warriors using DNA from genetically-modified human embryos left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars.
Man, trekkies are amazingly dedicated. Did you see how detailed the page Dudebro linked was. They have a page like that for everything in the ST universe.
I never watched an episode of Deep Space 9 but that Klingon story sounds familiar. They must have told it somewhere else too.

Awesome Trekking, guys!
I can't let this topic go without at least one pic of Dax in a STOS uniform!

Well to be fair that specific page involves three different ST series so it's bound to be more detailed. Some pages are just a sentence or two or pages with a lot of citation needed statements.
Btw if you think this shows their dedication check out-
Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki (http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page)
It's another ST wiki full of non cannon info like some books and the TOS cartoon I think.
@JG- I think that episode was genius. They really made it feel like those characters were interacting with Kirk and co. Dax getting the vapors over Spock was amusing for example.

You're right in saying that episode was genius; it was so totally ST: Back to the Future!
And who doesn't love tribbles?

Awwwwww! It's so CUTE!
On topic:
I don't recommend those dollar store DVD's with old movies on them.
OK, I understand we're only talking about a couple of dollars here but for a few dollars more
http://www.moviepostercollector.co.uk/images/For_a_few_dollars_more-French1sheet.jpg
in the 'previously viewed' bin at the video store, you could get a much better quality show to watch and possibly the same title that isn't
'Pan and Scan' or 'Formatted to fit your TV', because watching shows like that is just garbage as you are missing half of the show, literally.
You're much better off with 'Widescreen' presentations every time.
Most anime is made for TV, so in that case it doesn't apply.
(Studio Ghibli would be an exception there)
