When I was a young lad in elementary school, I had a lot of friends who were into "retro" games -- well, considering that's all that was out at the time (Playstation and 64 were still new, to give you an idea); and so the concept of someone saying that modern games are so much better than games of yesteryear had yet to touch my virgin ears. When I got older, though, and as further generations came out, the same friends got progressively douchier in their opinions, and with it, came a dislike -- maybe even fear -- of retro games.
So for a while, outside of the rare friend or two I have still that is into them, I've been having to deal with PS3 / 4, 360 / One, PC master racers and it's pretty tiring. But my point here is -- and yeah, the site is called RetroUprising -- this site's never really been like that. There's a very homey feel to it, and competing for high scores here reminds me of going to the arcade or a friend's house and trying to beat their scores, then talking trash until they tell me to get out of their house and I never see them again.
But to keep in line with the topic of the... topic, how many of you RUsers are more fond of modern games compared to retro games? Friendly environment here, we're all people with opinions.
