This game requires ArcadeOX to play.?

Sorry i am not tech savvy by any means but I really like this site and want to play! I just signed up today and played one of my old favorite games from the 80's. I just logged back it and not I cannot play any game, it shows "This game requires ArcadeOX to play" and i hit the download button, can someone show me step by step on what to from there? I downloaded it to my computer, what should i open it with?

I think I may have figured it out on my own, I opened it with internet explorer and it solved my problem. I was using Google Chrome and it would not work

Once the Arcadeox Plugin is downloaded you may open any game to play from the Game Menu as you please. The Plugin Activates on its own when starting a game.

One more problem guys......Stargate / "coin op" " 1981 series defender" will not load.
any suggestions on who to contact about this error?
All it will do is say "Factory settings restored" guess there is a error in the game?

Welcome to the site

There is no real problem just press F4 to reset / then press enter when the "factory settings restored" message appears.

The window will then reset and the game will load and be playable.

Most if not all Williams coin op game work this way for some reason.

2) Wait for - "Factory Settings Restored" Message.
3) When it appears press F4
4) "Reset?" message appears
5) Press <Enter> to reset
6) Highlight "Return to Game" and press enter if box still displays on screen.
7) Game reloads as before and after a few seconds goes to Title screen.
8 )Press <Space> to enter credit
9) Press <Enter> to play

Thanks for your help Jose but I done what you said over and over but the "reset?" message never appears, not sure why.

From what I've heard Chrome doesn't work well with the games on RU. It should work in FireFox if you wanna avoid IE.

F5 doesn't work either, oh well maybe I will figure it out one day, could just be the laptop I am using.

Probably, hit the little FN key before you hit F5, usually around the bottom left of the keyboard. FN enables the F keys.

Yeah if using a laptop you need to use the function key plus the F keys... Happy Gaming & Cheers! :pirate:

F4 is reset. F5 is flip power switch.

As JosephJo said, Williams games (and some others) require F4 to get past the "factory settings restored" screen.
