Hi.
I wanted to tell you the story of my last week-end...
In Marseille (France) i participated this week in a competition on Do Donpachi and like i needed to learn techniques and patterns i watched the N°1's game of JUL even if i played this game a few years ago.
In this competition we had only 2 tries !! So there was no place for luck.
On saturday, i was qualified for the final reaching 10 Millions and i didn't find a real contestant. I won the free ticket to come back on sunday and i knew i will win a retro console :-)
On sunday, when i arrived, the organisators told me to not watch at the screen of the last player which finished his game to not be afraid. When i saw he made 35 Millions, i knew i had a real contestant and my chance will surely be poor.
Indeed, when i saw him writing JUL as initials i was wondering if he was the same person of the RU game i watched last night !
We began to discuss and YES he was the same person !!
What a wonderful news to see that i will play against one of the best occidental players of this game which has a 72 Millions score on RU.
He made his first score reaching 32 Millions so the pressure was high !
My first shot was at 11 Millions and my second at 12 Millions so i finally finished 2nd on the 4th qualified but i was so proud to play in these conditions against JUL that i will remember this moment forever.
Now, i know that JUL is on shmups.com and i know who he his ! An excellent player, fan of Do Donpachi !
Cheers :-)
