REPORT - Resident Evil composer revealed as fraud

Resident Evil and Onimusha composer Mamoru Samuragochi has admitted that for the past 10 years someone else wrote his arrangements, including what is considered his pinnacle achievement, a piece titled "Hiroshima Symphony" dedicated to the lives lost during the 1945 atomic explosion.

The news comes by way of Samuragochi's lawyer to Japan Times, who said Samuragochi "deeply regrets" actions he called "totally inexcusable." It has also been revealed that Samuragochi did not write a piece called "Sonatina for Violin," which will be featured at the Winter Olympics this months.

I don't understand how finding out the Composer of the scores wasn't who we thought it was could change much of anything; the games are still as they always were, regardless of this news.

Doesn't effect the "Actual " gameplay, But the music plays a big role to follow the gameplay and when someone takes credit for someone elses work in which YOU think that person did an EXCELLENT job , Kinda puts a damper on things. Composition to a game does make that game that much better to play when its great, it makes you wonder who the real person is and want to find out more about him/her and what other projects he/she has been involved in, Sorta like living a lie ya know?

I suppose you have to wonder if he stepped up of his own accord, or was this about to be revealed by someone... perhaps whoever *did* write the score?

I notice good music in games but that's the end of it. I don't care who made it or why. If I like a game I can play it for hours on mute and my enjoyment isn't dampened at all.

Just depends on how you actually feel about the score / music in the game, its like saying Megaman would be the best super awesome game without the score to go with it, which we all know is a lie because Megaman has some of the best music i've ever heard as far as NES scores!
