Sega SG 1000 and 1000 II

I grew up on the Nintendo side of the great console war and as such I missed out on a lot of great Sega games. While trying to figure where to start I learned that Sega had released two consoles before the master system, the SG 1000 and 1000 II. Does anyone know of any decent games for these systems or should I just skip to the master system?

The Mark 1 and Mark 2 were both huge failures. Both were only in production for about a year and I would feel fine with skipping them.

The Mark 3 (SMS) has some pretty decent games on it. Nothing compared to the Fami library but still there are some gems none the less.
