Anyways I'm excited. This is the first game I have planned to play as it came out in forever. I zoomed through the first season a month ago and am suppe hyped for this one.

samejamesbond has a review of the first season that you can find here (http://www.retrouprising.com/showthread.php?t=14926&highlight=walking+dead) and this second season will be largely similar, merely continuing the story through a different character.

The amount of non-excitement I have for Season 2 is the same amount of quality the games have. /lamejoke at 5 am.

I'm confused by the joke... If you have a lot of non-excitement, then you believe that the games have a lot of quality?

Be quiet, I have work in 12 hours and I'm not looking forward to it, gosh.

In all seriousness though, was never a big fan of the franchise. Generic zombie tales pushed along by fairly good writing but not good enough to keep me hooked long enough. I will admit though that the first episode of the show was incredibly depressing in that it made me imagine what my life would be like (or wouldn't be like, I'm guessing) if a zombie apocalypse were to occur, so, incredibly bleak.

Oh that's right, they never showed if Kenny died or not.

I'm so pumped for this game. I'm ready for my feels to be destroyed again.

That final confrontation with Russians of all people was dumb. Germans would make sense since most Americans are Germans.

My first 6-8 class got cancelled so I can play it earlier than I thought. Hooray!

Either way I think that they'll make almost everyone die (maybe 2-4 people from both sides combined will live).

Jeez that ending...Apparently there are 3 endings.

I ended up shooting Kenny. He was basically asking for his death the entire episode. The poor dude was obviously suffering. He even thanks Clem for killing him. I still didn't forgive Jane though. I left her ass and went alone. I really couldn't trust any of them at that point. I do kinda feel bad though making Clem go on her own. Wonder what Telltale is going to do in the future.

And that part with Lee flashback. The feels... :(

First half of the episode was meh but the second half was good. The only thing I was really upset with was how everyone on our side somehow survived the shootout...Just really doesn't make sense to be that lucky. Overall a really solid season but I think I still like the first one more.

I really didn't like this season as much at all.

They wanted to do something different by putting you in the shoes of someone who doesn't have a lot of sway and force you to choose who you cling to for wisdom and protection but nobody really cared about your decisions.

Lee was a history professor with a lot of moral ambiguity and had a lot to say about his environment and situations. Even when not much was happening, there was a satisfyingly enough amount of things to figure out, talk about, or just stare at. This kind of worked for Clementine in the first episode but not really in any others.

I feel as if they also kind of sold the game on the idea that, as Clem, you would have to do a lot of looking out for yourself among people who don't really care about you all that much but the direction seems to have changed when everyone is suddenly your best friend/family member by episode two.

My highlights of the season:
The bit with Sam and the can of food in the first episode. I enjoyed Season one's tiny puzzles and I feel like this was literally the only one Clem had. It also ended with a harsh, self-evident lesson about apocalypse life: even the friendliest strangers will turn on an 11 year old girl if it comes down to survival. That was pretty rough to watch and didn't make it any less uncomfortable to either kill the thing or abandon it.

Jane teaching you the knee + head combo in episode four. Even if it's just a few quick time events it really warmed me up to Jane as literally no other character would enable this moment. The writing employs a lot of rational, concerned characters (to a negative end, I'd say) who keep you from being terribly important so this is refreshing.

Plugging Kenny. This was like, the first honest to god moment where you got to show who you side with.

Dunno if I'll go in for another unless the focus is different.

Yeah I agree on the sense that the choices you made didn't seem to have any control over where the group wanted to actually go. You really only had the choice to save one person over another or side with someone who was making a decision for you. Only until the very end did you actually get to impact/make your own decisions, like you said.
