GTA-4

So, now that it is out, and I am sure a few of you had it on pre-order, how is Grand Theft Auto 4? Good....bad....what you expected? I had two friends put it on pre-order and they went to a party for a few hours.

Amazing. I got it at midnight on launch day. I got the special edition. I haven't been getting alot of sleep and have been neglecting my homework.

I am not that far in, but I just killed Vlad.

I love it. I have a couple complaints, but I love it.

I just got it, not the SE though. So far, probably the best game I ever played. It looks great on PS3 and my HD Cable's finally being put to good use. It definetly deserves a high score. Just hope it doesn't affect my scores on the CSTs.

well i rented it because im poor and cant afford it and its acctually really good i just got to the same spot as TMT the driving is different and nicer for casual drives but alot harder in chases but all in all really good

my only real complaint is the lighting

it looks really good out in the open but at night its almost imposible to see where your going and not even while driving i was trying to go on a date i i could not find the door because i could not see anything...

How can you hate it?

Seriously, no games get hate like GTA and Halo, and it is so silly. I am not a fan of Halo. I would never play Halo again, unless I was in a room of people that love it. But I recognize it as a game that alot of people love for good reason. It is an extremely well made game, and deserves as much praise as it gets, even though it isn't my thing.

GTA is the same deal. So much work gets put into it, everything it does it does well. How can you hate it?

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Edit: and Oasis, I agree the lighting really bugged me. I turned the in game brightness up quite a bit, and now it looks much better to me.

My two friends that got it said that they have been played it online for about 8 hours straight. The funny thing is, we had training the next day and they looked like they were about ready to pass out while they were standing up.

The thing that really impresses me about this game and the entire series is its longevity. They've taken basically the same game from GTA all the way to the latest release, but made each version fresh and completely new by the environment and storyline that they were able to create. My personal favorite was San Andreas. It was kind of like Boyz N the Hood: The Video Game. I wonder if John Singleton had anything to do with the storyline.

Totally. If SA had Ice Cube in it, I wouldn't even be playing GTA 4. I would still be playing SA. :)

The online for this game is hilarious so far, minus the really annoying thug wannabes I keep meeting. I leave one game to avoid an annoying person and find two more. :'( At least I get to shoot a rocketlauncher at them.

no, i diddnt say i dont understand the story, i understand it very well, but what im saying is its not as good of a story line as some of the other GTA games....... or at least thats what i was saying then, but now that im farther in the game, im really starting to like this story :D

as a tip im sure you all have it but if you dont a really easy way to get the walk free achivement where you out run a 4 star wanted level

simply get a moter cycle and go up on to the train tracks that circle the city then drive around untill you come to the free way and get off your bike go to the edge and shoot some cars and wait for the cops to show up when they do kill a few cops untill you get your 4 stars then just drive down the tracks. since your on the tracks its really hard for them to shoot you and the only think you have to worry about is the train...

i did it on a scooter doing wheeles down the track so thats an easy way...

Lots of people say they are having trouble with that one. I got it the first time I tried. I don't know why I managed to get it the first time.

And, not to give too much away, but the end of that mission made me so upset.

OMG, I KNOW, i beat it and i was so mad, after i found out she's a cop i just said **** it, im just gonna get on TW@ and get a new one :p :D... oh and also, i accidently ran across a spoiler that i diddnt want to see that really ****ed me off. Stupid thing gave away that Roman Dies >:(

but i do have a question for you guys ... what is your favorite vehicle

also has anyone gotten past the bridge with the cops on it flaging a auto 6 start cop hunt...

and escaped the 6 star wanted level

i did here is how and what happens


i was on motor cycle and at the top right island where elizabeta is and crossed that bridge there into the middle island...

what you do to escape is drive down the bridge on the pedestrian path on the right so the cops cant get to you

then start to slow down when you get to the end of the bridge because there is some tracks just above you right after you get off the bridge...

hang a quick U turn and go up the stares on the bike.

at the top of the stairs there is a gate you have to force your way through on the bike then you can hop down onto the tracks ... then just drive down the subway untill your out of the wanted level...


what happens after you escape.

you get a instant 6 star wanted level again ;)


as you can tell my fav car is the motorcycle.
