Pretty telling to see all the internal disputes going hand in hand with the decline in referee-based score review, I'd say.

There are a lot of really weird dips and stuff on a few of those charts.

I believe almost all the pinball numbers were being fed to TG via PAPA submissions (Professional & Amateur Pinball Association) rather than being direct TG submissions, which explains spikes and drops in pinballs numbers from when TG started this relationship with PAPA and then it ended. Tracking pinball scorees is problematic since the physical setup of each specific machine is unique and plays differently (sometimes VERY differently), making comparison of scores across machines, or even on the same machine on different dates misleading. In pinball tournaments whenever possible all players play on the same machines with as close as possible to the exact same setup to minimize these differences.

It's also worth mentioning that track explosion on some games produces possibly misleading numbers on some of the charts. For example on driving and rhythym games TG often tracks every different course/song as a different track, and sometimes at each different possible difficulty setting or car type. This can give hundreds of tracks for a single game.

I'm pretty sure almost all of the Pinball scores were just loads of results from PAPA tournaments. Check out PAPA at PAPA: Professional & Amateur Pinball Association (http://papa.org/index.php). They have big events with tons of amazing players. For example The PAPA 16 competition in August this year had a $45,000 prize fund in $10,000 for winning the A Division and becoming "World Pinball Champion". Pinburgh 2013 in April had a $60,000 prize fund.
