Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask

Picked this up about a week ago. I've never played a Layton game before. I've been finding it pretty interesting. The production values are quite high and some of the puzzles really require some thought.

My only complaint is that the game starts off pretty slow.

I've got the first one for the DS, like you mentioned it's got good production values, and an awesome style. However the nature of the game didn't hold my attention for too long, I don't think I finished it. If you like puzzles, there is no better series.

Edit: Based on that video it looks like the puzzles are quite a bit better, the one I have was just like arrange the matchsticks, and little Sunday paper type puzzles.

You should certainly take a deeper look into the series then. I'm 50 puzzles in and thus far they've been mostly interesting. If you want, I'll let you borrow the game when I'm done with it, Steven.

I might, I appreciate your offer (what were you going to do mail it to me?)but I'll probably just end up purchasing it if I get a hankering. I got a lot of games to play as it is now though.

I remember playing the first one a few years ago. I'd probably like them more now. Might pick it up, might not. I'm on the fence about it.

The Layton Ace Attourny crossover has been confirmed for NA, if it's anything like I'm picturing, it could be really sweet.
