[RAZ the Retro]

I really love tracking down original copies of favorite or uncommon games and I just thought I'd share my findings for fun.

Today being labor day, I went home to visit my parents in Illinois. It'd been a few years since I'd been there so I was eager to see if I'd left any games the last time I was living there.

I didn't find anything in the house itself, but they still had an old PS2 hooked up with about a dozen games collecting dust. Most of them were common stuff, God of war, grand turimso 3...nothing special.

Sitting in a generic blockbuster case however was a copy of Tenchu 2 for the PlayStation. I always loved this game because you could edit your own quests, so despite it having blockbuster stickers on it and a bunch of scratches, I grabbed it. Looks like I'll have to get it resurfaced though for it to work properly.

Later I stopped at my sisters place. While perusing her collection I came across my long lost copy of Rez for the PS2. Definitely happy to have this guy again.

I used to have Tenchu 1, my mom took it away when she saw the violence. (for my little brothers sake) That game kicked butt.

Nice finds. Tenchu 1&2 were great games. I never played Rez but it looks pretty cool. It also had that vibrating accessory that was of questionable intent.;)

To avoid spam and just numerous topics, I think it would be a better idea to just keep all your findings into this one topic. Ultimately, its up to you but it would probably be easier for organizational reasons for you and the mods.

Tenchu 1 had a great CGI open and really cool level design. I loved how each stage was relatively self-contained plot and objective-wise.

It's a real shame Rez never had a US release on the Dreamcast.
I don't remember Rez having a peripheral.

On my last trip to the flea market (back in May) I found a copy of Castlevania III for the NES. I then muttered to myself "now if only I could find that OTHER 3" that 3 being Kirby's Dream Land 3*. I turned a turnstile two feet away and THERE IT WAS......the only copy of the game I have ever seen. I'd been searching for it for years. I bought both.

*Kirby's Dream Land 3 is the LAST first party published SNES game in the USA. Released in 1997 (!!!) it is super rare.

Nice hawk! I don't have the "other 3" heh. Hope you got a good price on it! Castlevania 3's my fave in the series. I wish they'd make another one with a sizable cast.

More hunting today 9/2/13. I was at a retail retro dealer. OK prices, but retail. I was going through the old Xbox games and found a stack of doom 3's selling for 8 bucks each. As I looked around a little more I found the collectors edition of doom 3 which includes Ultimate Doom and Doom 2. It also came in a spiffy metal case. Well for some weird reason the collectors edition was marked for 3 bucks! I snatched it up!

i have the collectors edition, honestly the PC version of doom 1 & 2 are way better, but still cool for 3$

Yeah man. $1 a game and the Xbox ones have split screen co-op.

Well for Playstation Fans I suggest you go to the Playstation Store if you want to go back to a few classic games.One game I was looking forward to buying is Castlevania :Sympathy of the Night but instead I made the dumbest decision in ps4 history on buying Scott Pilgrim Versus the World for 9 bucks they only give you just one lousy f***ing level and plus you have to spend 9 dollars more if you want to play the rest of the game!.It's By far the most dumbest thing Ubisoft could do to you.UTTER BULLSH** !
