I figure this is big enough news to post in Scoop instead of Pokemon section as it's been desired to happen for nearly 10 years.

During the Pokémon Game Show, it was announced that a brand new anime will run to coincide with Pokémon XY. This anime is called Pokémon: The Origin, features Red & Green, is based directly on the games, and is to run from October 2nd. It's currently unclear if this is a special or a series but we'll provide information as soon as we can. The show features Red as he starts his journey and battles his rival Green, and the Gym Leader Brock. Pictures courtesy of Dengeki

I'm not terribly excited, but it looks way better than that other anime they have going on.

This looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the Ash series. So yeah, I'm totally hyped, since this will get me watching a pokemon anime again!

Also, do you think that in the U.S. they will change Green to Blue, since it's what we got in the U.S.?

I doubt they would spend any money just to adjust it to coincide with two games that came out 17 years ago.

Then again, what would they really have to do? Adjust the hue of his jacket?
