well todays the first day of E3 2013 . the big three are ready to show up sony ,Microsoft and Nintendo . though Nintendo will not have conference they will still show some games at E3 . Microsoft is gonna being show off there games at E3 today . i think there gonna have some major Game announcements i think people did not take a liking to there tv conference so i think they will show all games this conference . i think though they planed it that way so they would not have to talk about what the console is all about . so all they can show is games . sony on the other hand show alot of games . i think they will show some other game announcements and they might give a price tag for the systems both company might but who knows .

i want to see what nintendo shows off with games . super smash and other games . thats what i want to see .

yeah sony beat microsoft in the used games thing . i knew that was gonna happen . i mean cmon people dont have the money to shell out 60 to 70 bucks depending on how much each game will cost . to do that for brand new games . we arent ready for something like that . very dum of mircrosoft

They are. Online multiplayer requires PS+ now.
If the fanbase raised a big enough stink they might get that reversed. However, it won't happen as most people won't care and will just pay the monthly fee.

If they don't change what they're doing now, it's not a terrible tradeoff. Free games every month that work so long as you are a current PS+ member and you can save to the cloud.

I'm really curious about this whole used game controversy. The music industry has succesfully gotten rid of physical cd's. There are no more new music stores and very few used music stores anymore. I realize the cost of a music cd is much smaller than a game cd but what makes you think the gaming industry won't be able to get away with the same? How long until games are sold the same way as music? I don't know the answer but it seems to me people better get used to the idea because it's just a matter of time before you are downloading all your games and gaming cd's go the way of the music cd.

To me, it's looking like they will easily have the most well rounded system. If they can put out a few good RPG's, and not get overlooked in the fighting game department, there will be something for everyone, aside from sports, be I can't recall Nintendo ever really caring for that demographic.

@SC- The problem is, a lot of Wii/WiiU games are also for the DS/3DS which is more popular because the system and games are much more affordable for the handhelds. I for one, much rather buy 3DS games over WiiU games simply because it is more affordable and the handheld is more convenient (can take it with me anywhere I go).

in my opion the wii U played it stafe by only bringing out mostly the Mario ,Zelda donkey kong and Mario kart and super smash bros they those will sell but will that be enough to carry them for now . Nintendo usually just focuses on their exclusive titles since that's what sells the most for them. They do release some gems every so often like Xenoblade Chronicles that are not related to their big focus of games (like Mario, Zelda, DKC, SSB, etc.)

Here's some people explaining why this is funny/outrageous-
The E3 xbox one demo units are PCs running Nvidia 6/700 series video cards. Quite deceiving by letting E3 attendees play games on a significantly more powerful machine.

The best part is looking inside the case it's either a GTX 780 or a GTX Titan even though Microsoft is partnered with AMD. Then there's the fact they're also using Windows 7 when they're trying to constantly push Windows 8.

I know very little about this stuff so maybe some of you can clarify for me. On xbox.com someone posted this from E3 about the xbone demo units-


The GPU (and CPU) in the Xbone is an AMD device.
The machines the demos are running on are NOT Xbones, they're just normal PCs.

Furthermore, the GPU in the PCs are the best on the market right now (costing 1000$ each) and as such run at way higher specs than what the Xbone hardware will run at.

The implications of all this are that the demos are not representative of what they will look like on the final Xbone hardware, which is pretty shady imo. Also, it could indicate serious problems with manufacturing the Xbone, if they couldn't even have units ready for E3, the biggest game show of the year. It is very possible that any units you see are just casing.

As an added bonus, after all the hoopla of pushing users to Windows 8 and terminating retail sales of Windows 7, their own computers are running W7 :D.

I thought that usually dev kits for game developers are just shoved into a PC case so the design of the unit can be worked on later. That's probably what it is. Xbone guts in a PC case.
