Alright, we need to put up some good scores in the arcade so new comers don't assume we're a bunch of sissies here. So every week I'll be going in alphabetical order on the NES arcade.

This will be the rule for every one of these contests.

1) I'm allowed to participate, as their are some high scores that I will defend vigorously. So As Jaden Yugi would say, "Get your game on."

2) Each contest will end EXACTLY one week after I post it. Meaning if I post the contest at 10:53pm EST on a Monday, it'll end the next Monday at 10:52pm EST. So please pay attention to the post dates.


Points will be awarded as such:
10th - 100 points
9th - 200 points
8th - 300 points
7th - 400 points
6th - 500 points
5th - 600 points
4th - 700 points
3rd - 800 points
2nd - 900 points
1st - 1000 points

So you see it's worth posting all of your scores, not just your best one. Good luck. Who ever has the most total points at the end of the contest will get something extra.

My feeling is that if you're too lazy to go find the game for the contest, you're too lazy to win it anyways. :p

EDIT: I've also altered the points awarded to something more respectable, seeing as how most will be going towards me anyways. :mrgreen:

I just realised that NES games are not recording scores however the screen shots are being saved so we can go back and add them later.

NES high scores are now fixed and saving to the High Score Board. However there were 7 scores submitted for this contest before I fixed it.

So I was playing this game to take part in this contest, and I was logged in. I got 223200 which is pretty good for me I think, and I pressed t and typed in my score. Everything was cool, and I clicked the button to go to the website, and it said I could not submit my score because I was not logged in, but I was. :(

Edit: Tried it again and got the same result, so it wasn't just a fluke.

My guess is that somehow Tenser found a way to force the system to log out anyone coming close to his scores...very tricky.

This is the same problem that some people had at onVGP. Here is my theory. Some computers do not pass the log in info to the Save page which prevents you from posting high scores, using save states and screen shots.

If I am correct then it should be fixed now. I need someone that was having this problem to test it please and let me know if it is working now.

My scores aren't being submitted after I am playing. I submit them and when I click go to website, it says I am not allowed to view it. Where are my scores?

Yes, I believe the unregistered one was mine, but I am not being logged out. I have also tried a couple of times after you said it was fixed. Maybe I will try logging out and then logging back in.

It would also look better if we had, say, all of D&DQ on the top (not just one person). My highest was about 261,000. That would put me near the top. It doesn't matter boys. This contest may end on Saturday but you might as well consider it over. Stella got her groove back. I guess that works if you want people to give up. The closest score is far from that. Amazing. Way to represent.

I also see that all of you boys are stuck where I was, at the end boss on level 3. Once you figure out the trick to this game it'll be clear flying from there.

Several people got screwed because of the unregistered error. It is still high on my priority list but I do not know the cause of the problem yet.

No I didn't. If I had, then there would have been only three names on the top ten list. The only person I screwed by not adding those was myself.

None of mine worked....:bully: My high was about 261,000. About two or three others were 260,000. Dang it.
