And being new to final fantasy XI what is your oppinion of it... i can never bring myself to pay 60 dollars for a game then pay 20 bucks a month for it but i bet its awesome...

Oasis it's actually around 29.99 for the game now with all the expansions. Which is a very good deal, I paid like 29.99 for each of the four expansions. Also it's about 12$ a month for the game with one character(extra characters are 1$ each). Plus you could be playing an awesome game with me!
But really, 12$ a month isn't bad if you have a job. Just think of it like one and a half blockbuster rentals. Or two packs of cigarettes.

If anyone plans on getting into Final Fantasy11 online let me know, might as well play on my server. I can help you out, just ask Creigna. ;)

Yeah, I'm now qualified to receive a senior citizen discount in several places, but I don't look, feel, or act like it! Ha! As for the FFXI game, it was a gift from one of my sons at Christmas. With what everyone pays for online access nowdays, the monthly fee is decent. I know there are varied ages here with incomes as well - guess it's how you choose to spend your "fun" money.
For some of the older members, you may remember SEGA's Shining Force? That was my first taste of "role playing" and was totally addicted to it. Even after I won it several times it was fun to see how strong I could get main character. I noticed it mentioned in someone's post, too.
So again thanks for the nice welcome!

Actually besides the admin Kong being a huge fan of that, one of the three teams is called Shining Force

I live in Bellevue Nebraska, which is about 46,000. Air Force Base contributes to a lot of that, but it's really growing! (south of Omaha).
