You can track the progress of this contest here April High Score Assassination Contest (http://www.retrouprising.com/aprilassassination.php).

First Place Prize:
Choose one of the following

X-Arcade Tank Stick + Track Ball (http://www.xgaming.com/store/arcade-joysticks-and-game-controllers/product/x-arcade-tankstick-includes-usb-cables/)
1 year subscription to Retro Gamer Magazine (http://www.retrogamer.net/)
A 2TB external USB hard drive chocked full of roms and emulators. Plug it in and play.

Prize generously donated by Retro-Daze.org (http://www.Retro-Daze.org).

If you live outside of the USA shipping will be too much and we will need to arrange a different prize for you. If you are not in USA, contact me for additional info.

Start and End:
This contest has already begun. It will last from April 1, 2013 12:00 AM GMT to April 31, 2013 11:59 PM GMT.

Rules:
When you beat an existing RU score you will gain 1 point for every day old the previous score was.

You can see a complete list of scores to beat here - Oldest High Scores (http://www.retrouprising.com/arcade.php?act=Arcade&module=league&a=old). The right column is the current score's age. That is how many points you will receive in this contest if you beat that score. The games at the top of the page are worth more points than the scores at the bottom.

So for example beating the current Dizzy the Adventure high score would give you over 2240 points in this contest because the current Dizzy score was set over 2240 days ago.

FYI. 32,300 is the max score in Dizzy so you can't beat this score.

You can only win one Retro Daze contest every 3 months. So JoJo and TRB, sorry but you have to sit this one out.

Good luck and happy gaming!

Anybody want to play for second place? I didn't do the math but it looks like TodayIsForgotten has more points than all the rest of us put together. Even though there is still a lot of time left in the month, I think you could quit playing now and still win. Well done!

Thank you. Well, sometimes i get a little crazy with things. Especially when numbers are involved. I also lost my job recently, so i have a lot of spare time. I'm not the kind of person who says, well, lets do things one step at a time. No no. I have to do all the steps in one-sitting. And let me tell you, it sucks, a lot.

There is still some activity within the top 5 last time i looked.

He's been beating my old scores set back in 2009/2010 which all are worth over 1000 points each for this contest :p.

TIF has a huge lead but still enough time for anybody to win.

To the players that are trying to win, what prize is motivating you?

I could really use that one year free oil change. The shopping spree at Walgreen's is tempting, too.

Thanks man. I've been getting a lot of positive feedback about the size and growth with my weight training. Honestly, i wasn't expecting it to reach the web, let alone this forum but still very cool. I haven't done much cardio so i dont know i'm faster or better.

Too kind, though.
