This is going to look quite interesting now that SMT has returned to its roots and the growing popularity of Fire Emblem

Cool, any word on what type of game it will be?

---------- Post added at 08:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:11 PM ----------

Also:
">Wii U updates coming in Spring and summer, improving OS speed and adding features

>Virtual console will come with the Spring update, will start with NES, SNES, and GBA games
>VC games support savestates, Miiverse communities and off-TV play
>Trial period running until then where you get one VC game every month to play for that month, costs 30 cents
>~80% discount on VC titles if you already have the Wii version

>Miiverse improvements will include post-filtering, user-created communities, multiple communities for one game, and a function to tell you whether game dev's accounts are real or not

>Wonderful 101 trailer shown

>Development studio video from Platinum focusing on Bayonetta 2 development

>Yoshi's Epic Yarn shown

>Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem

>X by Monolith Soft, looks like Xenoblade in HD with mechs and guns

>Super Smash Bros 4 will have screenshots shown at E3, at Sakurai's suggestion

>Mario Kart U and Super Mario Universe to have playable demos at E3

>Theme behind next Zelda game's development is to rethink the conventions of the series, will be less linear, may introduce dungeons that can be completed out of order, and perhaps a multiplayer component,

>Zelda HD demo from E3 evolved into a full ground-up Wind Waker remake"

I like that less linear Zelda part.

So they expect you to buy VC titles again that you had on the Wii? That's pretty weak.

Is it though? Just because you DL'd a game for one system, does that mean you should be able to play it on every new system for the rest of your life? Nintendo still needs to pay for the service. Besides that if you already paid for a game, it's only a dollar to port it over, so you need to re-purchase it at 80% off. Not to say that I like the idea, but I don't think this is just simply a cash grab.

Pure cash grab.

Yeah, I agree with Tenser. Which is why when I get a WiiU (eventually!) I'll keep my Wii for the VC stuff I already have there and only buy new stuff on WiiU. I don't want to have to pay for games multiple times on the same company's consoles.

Well, maybe you guys are right, I really don't know much about how it all works.
On a lighter note, that X game looks like it has some potential.

I agree, reminds me of Capcom's DLC.

Okay so there is apparently some bad information. You will not need to re-buy any games if you do not want, you will be able to play your Wii VC games on your WiiU. However you may choose to upgrade your game, at 20% it's original cost, this includes adding save states, gamepad play, and Wii-Univers integration.

That's actually pretty nifty. I'm probably the only person on this site that thinks so but -shrug-

So, basically what this site does free.

True, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of playing the game on the television set in your bedroom / front room. Especially the feeling of owning the game is awesome. I love this site as much as the next Kong but you can't tell me you don't enjoy that feeling.

Yeah, except you pay game creators/owners and/or current programmers for their work, fancy that.

Sounds fair.
