it's perma-frost-rick.

I went on a trip to Alaska one summer where we were fortunate and got to go into one of the permafrost caves and see 50,000+ year old ice. you can see plants and small critters etc. in the ice that have been preserved for 50,000 years. Researchers take cores out of the ice and analysis it as it is essentially a frozen piece if history. from the gases and other chemicals in the ice they can figure out what the atmosphere was like at the time it originally froze etc.

anyway when I wanted to make an online username I wanted something cool.
well, permafrost is permanent ice so definitely very cool....so I just put permafrost and my first name... rick.... thus permafrostrick.
