That's kinda touching in a way. I hope they bring back some of the old features, I've got reservations as to how well this is gonna go, but here's hoping for the best.

Unless these guys get some kind of channel into Nintendo's develepment centers, I can't really see this being very successful, simply because of the very first party centric nature of Nintendo platforms. They wouldn't be able to stand out from any online news source.

Still, I wish them good luck, nice to see the fanbase pick up what Nintendo doesn't feel like doing anymore.
