Bucket list: list of stuff you want to do before you kick the bucket.

What's on your list?

Here are mine:

Live at least 3 months in New Zealand, Belize and Hawaii.
Plan and pull off an elaborate heist.
Hang glide and/or wing suit.
Ice Blocking.
Have a date in a hot air balloon.
Buy someone a plane ticket without their knowledge, pack their bag, secretly clear their schedule and put them on a plane for a surprise vacation.
Create 50 pinatas. Fill them with interesting stuff found from dumpsters. Hang them around downtown. Place sticks near them. Hide nearby with a camera.
Road trip to visit RU members.
Make a Rube Goldberg machine.
Go to Disney World.
When I know my time is at an end, go to the zoo, take PCP jump into the gorilla pit and challenge a silver back to a battle to the death.
Run into the store on Black Friday and go crazy. Hurdle a pile of TVs nab the last one from an old ladies hands, hide it somewhere in the store and give clues to people like it's an easter egg hunt.

Things marked off of my list
Go a year without working or using money.
Year without tv, radio, news papers, or magazines.
Live a year on the beach.
Live a year in another country.
Go to Burning Man.
Live in a castle.
Backpack across Europe.
Spend a day blindfolded.
Go to Tijuana.

Live in an RV.

How can you go a year without using money? Did people buy food for you or did you not eat at all? lol

Or are you talking about not using money on anything but essentials.

Dumpster dive everything. No money for rent, utility bills, entertainment, food etc.

I was living in an RV and spending money on gas and toothpaste because at the time I didn't know how to get those for free yet. I have gone years without buying either but not at the same time as not buying anything else. I also was not paying insurance or any bills besides gas on the RV.

Cool thread. I think it will interesting to see who shares bucket list items and to see if others have completed items that are on someone else's list.

Bucket List
Go into space, bonus points for walking on the moon.
Golf Pebble Beach
Find a small island and spend an entire day walking the shore all the way around it.
Have 25-30 consecutive rolls at a Las Vegas craps table.
Have children
Invent something.
Build a home.
Be in a play.

Crossed off list.
Drive over 140mph
Be part of a national championship team
Be a best man at a wedding x2
Get hired for a job
Get fired from a job
Raise a puppy
Did something that simultaneously got me praise and scorn from a large roomful of people.

I do recall those posts a long time ago about Kong's minimalist time...I do believe there is a really good thread about dumpster wine that was written at that time.It's in the donor section. That wasn't from my extreme minimalist time. That is just modern time, I still do that.

@ Kong. My senior year of high school, one of the students that was in the running for valedictorian was caught plagerising in her Honors English class. In my school, you had to complete 4 yrs of English to graduate. So the teacher came out and said that it was his intention to fail her because she cheated. There was a big riffraff about the whole thing. Ultimately she had to drop out of national honors society, but was allowed to keep her class ranking (finished 2nd) and graduate. As salutatorian, she still had to give an address. After she was announced, I coughed out the word "Cheater", not taking into account the acoustics of the auditorium. I was told that people in the back row heard it. I was also told I was a jerk/ass/d-bag/loser by her family and friends and told I was awesome/the man/correct by a bunch of people that had the same feelings I did.

The only goal I have that is important to me is to someday be my own boss, make my own hours, do as little or as much work as I like and still have money to do what I want when I want.

And fill the rest of the time with videogames, bushwalking, and with hope some hot loving, ahhhh

@RevJ: Have you ever considered walking the Appalachian Trail? Supposedly it takes months to walk as it's over 2,000 miles long. Lots of people attempt to hike the whole trail every year.

Bucket List

Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary (today is year 14)
Walk both daughters down the isle for their wedding.
Hold a grandchild.
Take BP at Angels Stadium. (Bonus if I go yard)
Shoot around at Staples (it's not the Forum, but it would do).
Visit friends I have made at RU.

Get butt handed to me in NES Ice Hockey by Tenser.
Get butt handed to me in 3D Tetris by Kong.
Get butt handed to me in Tecmo Bowl by Tanc.
Get butt handed to me in Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Dudebro (after we divide China in half by combined domination).


See bottom of Beaten Game List (not a high priority, but would be cool).
It's a start. I'll probably add to it later.
Edit - The handing of my tookus can only be done in person, not online.

@Psi: Iron Maiden is a bad 80's metal band with a lead vocalist that makes Geddy Lee of Rush sound melodic. They probably took their name from the medieval torture device pictured above, which is an iron maiden.

That's pretty harsh. I'm not even a fan but respect where respect is due. They are a British metal band and unlike most metal bands from the 80's, still have a huge following and sell out anytime they play a concert. Their singer not only has one of the most powerful voices in metal but he's one smart dude. He once piloted their jet on a world tour. I'm not sure about other metal fans out there but I could really care less if his voice is "melodic". I saw them open for the Scorpions in I think 83 and I still consider that show to be one of the two or three best concerts I've ever attended. They are one of the most succesful and influential bands in the history of metal along with Black Sabath. I'm suprised someone has never heard of them.

hunting with a bow and arrow and a huge knife
eat bear steak
go to a world cup
scuba dive in the sink hole in Belize
live in Belize
own a house

Could you talk a bit about how you managed to live in a castle?I was in Morocco. The local castle was owned kind of condo style. Individuals owned sections that were sort of like 1000 year old apartments. I met some guy that offered to rent me a room in his for 2 weeks. It was off peak season and was super cheap. Something like $5 a day which was the same price as a hotel room. Was pretty awesome. Was also on the beach.

Bear steak is very tough and gamey, kind of like moose, and all the knife is for is cleaning the meat (very messy and not for the squeamish). Although more dangerous, I suggest hang gliding over skydiving (unless of coarse you're using a glider suit), it lasts longer and you feel more in control.

I want to win WCG in Tekken (hard beacuse the US qualifier is usually online, but not long ago it was in LA).
